In recent times, domestic market development activities associated with the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" focused on by Phu Tho province have created positive changes, contributing to raising awareness of consumption and shopping among the people.

Identifying propaganda work as an important task, the Department of Industry and Trade together with organizations, levels and sectors have promoted information and implemented the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", helping businesses promote their brands, expand markets and consume products. Consumers have a correct awareness of the quality of products and goods produced by Vietnamese enterprises, thereby changing consumption trends and choosing Vietnamese branded goods. At the same time, mobilize businesses to bring high-quality, domestically produced products and goods with reasonable prices to shopping centers, supermarket systems, safe food business chains and rural and mountainous markets for consumption; combine promotional programs and customer care.

In 2024, the Department of Industry and Trade connected and organized 20 exhibition areas, introducing industrial products, handicrafts, processed agricultural and forestry products of enterprises, cooperatives (HTX), production and business establishments at major events of the province and fairs and exhibitions inside and outside the province; maintained and implemented well the introduction of typical products of the province at Points of Sale and introduced products participating in the One Commune One Product (OCOP) Program, typical rural industrial products of Phu Tho province... Thanks to that, the displayed, promoted and introduced items and products such as: Paper, fertilizers, tea products, wood panels; Hung Lo rice noodles; handicrafts... have become known to many people.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Nhung - Deputy Director of Lien Hoa Chi Cooperative, Tu Xa Commune, Lam Thao District said: "With the guidance of the Industry and Trade Department and local authorities, the Cooperative continuously participates in fairs and product display points inside and outside the province with key products such as: Perilla tea, pennywort tea, red ginseng lotus leaf tea... Thanks to that, the Cooperative's products have the opportunity to access, find markets, investment partners, and promote trading and exchange".

To increase the recognition of the province's products, the Department also promotes the work of supporting the building of brands, trademarks, geographical indications, and origin of goods for enterprises and cooperatives. Accordingly, in 2024, the Department supported the design of 25 packaging samples and printing of 11 packaging samples for agricultural products, OCOP products, and handicraft products; supported the construction and registration of product trademark protection for 3 units including: Cassava starch products of My Lung green agricultural chemical cooperative; Cordyceps products of Phuc Linh Cordyceps production facility and Black Khoai sticky rice products of Buoi Cooperative and Hung Xuyen general services. In addition, the Department also supported account registration and the construction of a QR Code origin traceability database for 6 units and the registration of barcodes for 11 enterprises, cooperatives, and agricultural product production facilities with strengths in the province.

In addition to the support of the province, businesses, business and production units in the province have also proactively improved techniques, innovated ways of distributing goods to enhance competitiveness and stabilize product prices. Vietnamese products have been significantly improved in design and quality based on the application of modern science and technology; enhanced organization of advertising campaigns, technical support services and installation, after-sales warranty, meeting the requirements of consumers. Businesses have constantly innovated ways of distributing goods, implemented many discount and promotion campaigns to stimulate consumer purchasing power. Thereby, many products produced in the province have increasingly created high prestige with consumers and become a strength in production of the province as well as the whole country.
