On the afternoon of May 27, at Ninh Binh Provincial Sports Stadium, a program to celebrate International Yoga Day (June 21) took place.
Attending the event were Mr. Subhash Prasad Gupta, Deputy Ambassador of the Embassy of India in Vietnam; Comrade Tong Quang Thin, Member of the Provincial Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; officers and staff of the Embassy of India in Vietnam; leaders of the Department of Culture and Sports , and a number of departments and branches.
Speaking at the program, Deputy Ambassador of the Embassy of India in Vietnam Subhash Prasad Gupta expressed his pleasure to attend the event celebrating International Yoga Day in Ninh Binh. The Deputy Ambassador gave an overview of Indian Yoga, the benefits that Yoga brings to the health and spiritual life of practitioners. At the same time, he affirmed that Vietnam's interest in Yoga is very encouraging in promoting and popularizing the benefits of Yoga as a habit in life, contributing to connecting peoples in improving health and happiness...
The program included a Yoga performance with the participation of about 500 people including Yoga experts and trainers from India; international tourists and friends who love Yoga and more than 400 members from centers, clubs and Yoga lovers in the province.
The program contributes to connecting members and Yoga Clubs in the province to become a united organization, together promoting the Yoga practice movement more strongly, spreading more widely the benefits of Yoga and healthy lifestyle in the community.
