The "March Border Month" 2024 program carries out many meaningful tasks

This is an activity to celebrate the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2024), the 65th anniversary of the Border Guard's Traditional Day (March 3, 1959 - March 3, 2024) and the 35th anniversary of the National Border Guard Festival (March 3, 1989 - March 3, 2024).

The program gives many gifts to village elders, village chiefs, and students.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Nguyen Kim Quy, Permanent Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, said that in response to Youth Month 2024, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union coordinated with units to organize the Central-level "March Border Month" program in Nghe An province. "The "March Border Month" program in 2024 is not only a meaningful and practical program but also demonstrates the spirit of "Youth volunteers for community life" - the theme of Youth Month 2024", Mr. Nguyen Kim Quy shared.

At the same time, it is affirmed that March every year is always a special occasion for every young Vietnamese person. Along with the exciting youth activities taking place across the country, March is an opportunity for union members, youths and young people to express their love for their homeland by reaching out to border areas with practical and meaningful actions.

According to Mr. Nguyen Kim Quy, the "March Border Month" program is one of the activities to concretize the movement "I love my Fatherland" deployed by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union from March 1 to 31 every year in border communes across the country, focusing on difficult border communes. In 2024, with the theme "My Fatherland's Border", the "March Border Month" program is focused on implementing 3 key groups of contents by the Union chapters, members, and youth: Activities to promote propaganda and education for Union members, members, and youth about traditions, love for the homeland and the responsibility of young people for sovereignty, border security, and islands in the new situation; Groups of activities to express gratitude, exchange, discuss, establish friendship, and visit between the Union chapters, Associations, Union members, members, and youth with veterans, officers, and soldiers of the border guards; Fostering professional knowledge for youth volunteer teams and groups to ensure security and order in border areas; Social security activity groups, undertaking youth projects and tasks associated with maintaining national security and defense, socio-economic development, applying new technologies, and digital transformation in border areas...

The program "March Border" is one of the activities to concretize the movement "I love my Fatherland" organized by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union.

At the program, the Organizing Committee presented 20 gifts to village elders, village chiefs, and prestigious people, 30 gifts, 25 Vu A Dinh scholarships, 20 bicycles and 500 warm clothes to ethnic minority students in difficult circumstances, presented 300 national flags to households protecting the border, presented an economic development model of 3,000 breeding chickens, 1.5 tons of animal feed and livestock farming tools to 30 ethnic minority youth households; especially implemented many youth projects such as implementing 01 project "Lighting up the border" in Yen Thang commune, Tuong Duong district...

In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded 01 "Happiness Bridge" project in Thach Giam town, Tuong Duong district, 02 "Toilet for children" projects at Tam Dinh Primary School, Tam Dinh commune and Tam Quang 1 Primary School, Tam Quang commune, Tuong Duong district, 02 computer rooms for students at Tuong Duong Ethnic Minority Boarding Secondary School, Thach Giam town, Tuong Duong district and Tri Le 1 Primary School, Tri Le commune, Que Phong district, 01 playground project for children at Tung Huong Kindergarten, Tam Quang commune, Tuong Duong district and 01 volleyball court in Tung Huong village, Tam Quang commune, Tuong Duong district, 02 "Happy Houses" for orphaned students in difficult circumstances. The value of the gifts, projects, and tasks in the Program is up to 1.4 billion VND and sponsors 03 orphaned students in difficult circumstances until they are 18 years old (minimum 500,000 VND per month).

In particular, on the evening of February 25, the program featured famous young singers such as singer Ha Myo - a typical young face of Vietnam in 2022, rapper Rica (Nguyen Viet Hung) brought lyrics and singing to stir up the stage, giving many musical gifts to the people and young artists of the Vietnam Drama Theater brought many special performances.

On this occasion, the Vietnam Youth Union of border provinces and cities simultaneously organized "March Border Month" activities in difficult border areas with the Journey "Youth to the Border Marker" associated with the "I Love My Fatherland" flag-raising ceremony, organized programs to visit, give gifts, exchange culture, arts, physical education and sports with border guards, organized social security activities to care for people and children in difficult circumstances, veterans, families of policy beneficiaries, prestigious people among ethnic minorities, deployed projects and youth work to participate in protecting security - national defense and developing the economy - society in border areas.

Earlier in the afternoon of the same day, the Organizing Committee visited and presented gifts to soldiers of Tam Quang Border Post (Tam Quang commune); Inaugurated the "Playground for children" project at Tung Huong Kindergarten (Tam Quang commune, Tuong Duong district)./.
