Sleep during the day and work hard at night to hunt for scholarships
Huynh Thi Nhat Linh (23 years old, residing in Thuan Hoa ward, Hue city) is a former student majoring in Marketing, Faculty of Business Administration, University of Economics , Hue University. A year ago, she graduated with a bachelor's degree with honors, graduating early after 3.5 years of studying.
Two months ago, this young woman received good news when she was accepted into two prestigious scholarship packages in Europe, including the Government of Ireland Scholarship (GOI-IES) 2025 and the Hungarian Agreement Scholarship, along with support from Vietnam.

After careful consideration, Nhat Linh chose the Irish Government scholarship to study for a master's degree at South East Technological University - a leading educational center and known as the "Silicon Valley of Europe", home to many global technology corporations.
Nhat Linh said she chose the Irish Government scholarship because the program's criteria is to help promote diplomatic relations between Vietnam and this northwestern European country.
The Hue girl plans to stay in Ireland to work for a certain period of time after finishing the course to gain experience, before returning to serve her homeland.
According to Nhat Linh, Marketing is a rather broad major, so she wants to study more in depth to explore more and enrich her knowledge. After graduating from university, Nhat Linh decided to "stay at home and be supported by her mother", spending time "hunting" for scholarships.
“A year has passed, I have gained a bit more weight than when I was a student because I ate and slept more during the day to stay up all night to research and write essays,” Nhat Linh shared.
The Hue girl, who admits to being a “night owl,” researched and applied for 5 international scholarships at the same time, winning 2 of them and being on the reserve list for 2 other scholarships.
“At first, I considered eliminating the Irish Government Scholarship program from my plans because it was too difficult, with a selection rate of less than 1% globally. Then, with the encouragement of my mentor, I applied and completed it in just over a week,” the young girl said.

According to Huynh Thi Nhat Linh, to win the 2025 Irish Government Scholarship, she had to surpass thousands of candidates from all over the world. She is the only Hue person to achieve this achievement this year.
The scholarship covers full tuition fees and living expenses, worth 10,000 Euros for a 1-year master's program in the Republic of Ireland.
Sharing her experience in “hunting” for scholarships, Nhat Linh said that the most important thing is to carefully study the program’s criteria for selecting candidates, to see if it is suitable for them or not. Candidates need to consider their ability to write an essay that is convincing enough for the selection committee members.
Desire to promote Vietnamese business brands to the world
Sharing her ambition, Nhat Linh wishes to contribute her efforts and intelligence to promote Vietnamese business brands to the world. This is also the main goal she mentioned in her essay and convinced the scholarship selection board.
She said the essay emphasized marketing strategies focused on corporate social responsibility (CSR), as well as sustainable development under the higher-level framework of environment, social responsibility and governance (ESG).
According to Nhat Linh, through research, she realized that these are trends that many businesses around the world are pursuing and succeeding.
Revealing her personal interests, Huynh Thi Nhat Linh said she loves reading books and listening to light European and American music, loves eating cakes, Hue sweet soups, and often eats vegetarian food with her mother.
Being a fluent and coherent speaker, the Hue girl also likes to be a MC and has participated in many large and small events organized by the school and Hue city.

Master Tong Viet Bao Hoang (University of Economics, Hue University), who was Huynh Thi Nhat Linh's class teacher, said that during her time at the school, Linh was an outstanding student in both academics and extracurricular activities.
She achieved an average score of 3.5 on a 4-point scale, making her one of the top students in the school. Nhat Linh has been a bilingual MC at many events, such as the Hue Z speech contest, the Vietnam-Thailand student cultural exchange, and the Hue Festival; and has achieved high results in many competitions organized by the school and Hue city.
