The opening ceremony was attended by Bulgarian Minister of Agriculture and Food Georgi Tahov, representatives of associations and the diplomatic corps in Sofia, and more than 400 businesses from Europe, Asia and Africa, including Bulgaria, Greece, Turkey, Romania, Serbia, North Macedonia, Poland, Germany, Italy, Spain, Austria, Lithuania, Sri Lanka, Egypt, Vietnam, Indonesia and Ukraine.
Within the framework of the event, the Vietnamese Embassy in Bulgaria cooperated with Era Group Vietnam Co., Ltd. to participate in the Fair. Attending the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the Vietnamese booth were Ambassador Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet and Ambassadors of ASEAN countries and Morocco, affirming the support of the diplomatic corps for Vietnam's trade promotion activities in Bulgaria.
The Vietnamese pavilion displays a variety of typical products of the Vietnamese food and beverage industry, including coffee, tea, fruit juice, traditional confectionery, and functional food products extracted from natural ingredients. The products are items with great potential in the Southeast European market, where the demand for natural, healthy products with clear origins is increasing.
Speaking at the event, Ambassador Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet emphasized that Vietnam has great strengths in the food industry thanks to its rich agricultural resources such as rice, coffee, tea, fruits, etc. and unique traditional products. The Ambassador affirmed that Vietnam's participation in Interfood & Drink 2025 is not only to promote products but also to expand the cooperation network, creating conditions for Vietnamese enterprises to penetrate deeper into the Bulgarian market and the Southeast European region.
Immediately after the opening ceremony, Bulgarian Minister of Agriculture and Food Georgi Tahov visited the Vietnamese booth. Talking to the Ambassador, Minister Tahov highly appreciated the recent bilateral meeting between the leaders of the two countries' agricultural sectors within the framework of General Secretary To Lam 's official visit to Bulgaria (October 22-24). The Minister affirmed that Bulgaria is ready to support the promotion of cooperation in the field of agriculture and food, and wishes to create favorable conditions for Vietnamese enterprises to invest, cooperate and participate in the value chain in Bulgaria.
Interfood & Drink 2025 has an exhibition area of up to 14,000 m², with more than 500 booths organized into 5 specialized areas including: MeatMania (meat products), Dairy Expo Sofia (dairy products), Bulpek (bread - cakes), Interfood & Drink (processed food and drinks), and Wine & Spirits Show (wine and alcoholic beverages).
In addition to product displays, the fair also features more than 30 sideline activities such as food and health seminars, demonstrations of advanced processing technology, pizza making competitions, product testing sessions, business exchanges and cooperation connections.

With the leading scale and prestige in the region, Interfood & Drink 2025 is considered an opportunity for Vietnamese enterprises to introduce products, approach new partners, expand export markets, and learn about modern European technology and production models. Vietnam's presence at the fair not only contributes to promoting the Vietnamese agricultural and food product brand but also continues to affirm Vietnam's active role in international trade promotion activities in Bulgaria and Southeast Europe.
