Real estate and construction stocks hit ceiling prices

VN-Index regains 1,200 point mark

1,200 points is a very important milestone for the VN-Index. After a struggling session, at the close of the stock market session on July 28, the VN-Index regained 1,200 points with liquidity improving strongly in both volume and value of transactions.

At the close of the stock market session on July 28, VN-Index increased by 10.34 points, equivalent to 0.86% to 1,207.67 points; VN30-Index increased by 12.77 points, equivalent to 1.06% to 1,212.45 points. The number of codes increasing in price (328 codes) was much higher than the number of codes decreasing in price (139 codes). The VN30 group also recorded 25 codes increasing in price and only 4 codes decreasing in price.

Liquidity of the July 28 stock market session improved significantly after a decline. The entire Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange had more than 1.1 billion shares, equivalent to VND21,927 billion, successfully traded. The VN30 group recorded 269 million shares, equivalent to VND7,303 billion, transferred.

Recently, Vietcombank ’s VCB shares have often played the role of supporting the VN-Index. However, in the July 28 stock session, many blue-chips shared this responsibility. Among them, the most contributing were stocks of the “family” VIN.

The three stocks of the “VIN family” all increased significantly. At the close of the stock market session on July 28, VHM increased by VND1,400/share, equivalent to 2.4% to VND58,900/share; VRE increased by VND300/share, equivalent to 1.1% to VND28,800/share and VIC increased by VND400/share, equivalent to 0.8% to VND51,500/share.

Meanwhile, blue-chip retail stocks also broke out. At the end of the stock market session on July 28, VNM increased by VND1,700/share, equivalent to 2.2% to VND77,400/share; MSN increased by VND1,900/share, equivalent to 2.3% to VND86,100/share,...

On the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the indices increased more rapidly but cash flow improved more slowly.

At the close of the stock market session on July 28, the HNX-Index increased by 1.9 points, equivalent to 0.81% to 237.54 points; the HNX30-Index increased by 6.55 points, equivalent to 1.41% to 472.49 points. Only 130 million shares, equivalent to VND 1,987 billion, were successfully traded.

Real estate and construction stocks hit ceiling prices

In the July 28th session, VN-Index regained the 1,200-point mark, which was an optimistic signal for the stock market. However, the focus of the weekend session was on construction and real estate stocks. Many codes in these two groups hit the ceiling together.

At the close of the July 28 stock market session, CTD of Coteccons Construction Joint Stock Company hit the ceiling, increasing by VND4,800/share to VND73,600/share. Notably, at the beginning of the session, CTD was still trading in the red. Previously, in the July 27 session, CTD fell quite sharply.

Along with CTD, another construction stock, HBC of Hoa Binh Construction Group, also closed the July 28 stock session in purple. HBC increased by 620 VND/share to 10,000 VND/share.

Meanwhile, another group of construction stocks fell sharply. VCG of Vietnam Construction and Import-Export Joint Stock Corporation decreased by VND900/share, equivalent to 3.42% to VND25,400/share; CC1 of Coteccons Construction Joint Stock Company decreased by VND900/share, equivalent to 4.52% to VND16,900/share,...

Currently, the market is focusing on the bidding for the construction of Long Thanh Airport worth 35,000 billion VND. There are 3 consortiums participating in the bidding. The above mentioned enterprises are evenly distributed in the consortiums.
