Vinpearl shares hit ceiling on listing day, capitalization over 150,000 billion VND

More than 1.79 billion VPL shares of Vinpearl officially traded on HoSE on the morning of May 13 with the reference price on the first trading day being VND71,300/share.

This morning (May 13), VPL shares of Vinpearl Joint Stock Company were officially listed on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HoSE) with a reference price of VND 71,300/share, corresponding to a charter capital of nearly VND 18,000 billion.

Immediately after listing, Vinpearl's VPL shares increased by nearly 20%. VPL shares hit the ceiling price, reaching VND85,500/share with 4,800 units traded. Buyers have more than 1.6 million units waiting at the ceiling price but there are no sellers.

With nearly 1.79 billion shares in circulation, Vinpearl has a market capitalization of more than VND 153,000 billion. With this market capitalization, Vinpearl has surpassed many big names such as MBBank, PV Gas, VPBank, Vinamilk, ACB , Sabeco to enter the Top 10 companies with the largest market capitalization on the HOSE.

Regarding business performance, Vinpearl recorded consolidated net revenue in the first quarter of 2025 of VND 2,971 billion, up 76.6% over the same period. Of which, revenue from the company's core business activities, including hotel services, tourism , entertainment and related services, reached VND 2,438 billion, up 45% over the same period in 2024. The company's after-tax profit also reached more than VND 90 billion.

In 2025, the company aims to achieve net revenue of about VND14,000 billion and after-tax profit of about VND1,700 billion. With the results achieved, in the first quarter of the year, Vinpearl completed about 21% of the revenue plan and 5% of the annual profit plan.

The official listing of Vinpearl shares on the stock exchange has sent billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong's fortune soaring to a record high. According to Forbes ' estimates this morning (May 13), the billionaire's fortune reached $9.1 billion - the highest ever. This figure has increased nearly fourfold compared to the beginning of this year.
