Poet Xuan Quynh's son launches book 'Wind-Winded Windows'

Thirty-six years have passed since the last summer of Xuan Quynh, Luu Quang Vu and Quynh Tho (August 29, 1988 – August 29, 2024). Relatives, colleagues, friends and the public still remember them with sincere and emotional memories.

But that is still not enough because readers, literature lovers always want to know, want to understand more, more clearly about the works as well as about the daily lives of the authors they admire. Perhaps understanding that desire, the relatives of Xuan Quynh and Luu Quang Vu, in one way or another, over the years, have also shared their memories of the deceased.

Kim Dong Publishing House launched the book "Wind-swept windows" by Luu Tuan Anh.

It is not easy to write a memoir about a loved one, especially in the midst of a modern, bustling life, always busy and lacking in quiet time to reminisce about those in memory. Perhaps that is why, even though the author Luu Tuan Anh, son of poet Xuan Quynh, had written the first lines in the fall of 2004, it took nine years for the manuscript to be completed and gradually become “Wind-blown windows”.

In this memoir, in the most intimate position, readers will see a Xuan Quynh, a Luu Quang Vu, a little Mi, an artist Luu Tuan, a very close Luu Minh Vu with delicate love and simple life. The book does not have many pages but each line contains affection for the images that are published for the first time.

“Wind-blown windows” will also help readers better understand and continue to discover the hidden values ​​that Xuan Quynh and Luu Quang Vu have conveyed in their works as well as in their short but meaningful lives.

Author Luu Tuan Anh shared: “The stories in this book are a collection of memories that I spent nine years recalling and reorganizing. This book is a belated tribute to my loved ones. It is also a heartfelt confession that I want to share with readers, those who love my mother and stepfather.”
