Ukrainian army attacks major chemical plant in Russia

(CLO) On December 4, Ukraine attacked a large chemical plant in the Stavropol region, southern Russia, causing a fire.

The Ukrainian General Staff said on Telegram that the Nevinnomysskiy Azot plant was attacked on Thursday night, adding that the facility produced components for explosives. It described it as one of the largest factories of its kind in Russia.

Nevinnomysskiy Azot is located in the Stavropol region of Russia. The plant has a capacity to produce more than 1 million tons of ammonia and up to 1.4 million tons of ammonium nitrate per year. The plant regularly supplies a number of Russian defense industry enterprises.

Meanwhile, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Russian air defense forces shot down 76 Ukrainian drones in the airspace of Russian regions and the Black Sea overnight.

A woman was injured by debris from a drone that crashed in a district of the Voronezh Region. An apartment building, a non-residential building and two passenger cars were also affected.

According to Ukrinform, in Crimea, a fire broke out at the facilities of the Yodobrom research and production association after a drone attack.
