According to a VNA reporter reporting from Hainan, on the morning of December 3, within the framework of attending the 57th Executive Board Meeting of the Organization of Asia -Pacific News Agencies (OANA) in Hainan province (China), Director General of the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) Vu Viet Trang and Director General of the TASS news agency (Russian Federation) Andrey Kondrashov had a working session, exchanging specific cooperation orientations to improve communication efficiency, contributing to promoting the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and the Russian Federation.
At the meeting, the leaders of the two agencies agreed that the implementation of the Professional Cooperation Agreement between VNA and TASS in recent times, including information exchange, support for each other's resident correspondents and exchange of reporter delegations, has achieved positive results, contributing to helping the two agencies fulfill their missions as national news agencies in each country.
The two sides agreed to increase the exploitation of information databases, especially the source of documentary photos of the two agencies; improve the practicality of delegation exchange activities; and soon re-sign the Professional Cooperation Agreement to suit the strong development of digital media today.
General Director Vu Viet Trang and General Director Andrey Kondrashov spent time discussing a number of issues related to journalism, such as solutions to deal with the challenges that journalists face in the fight against fake news or the risk of insecurity for reporters working at conflict hotspots and natural disasters.
Regarding multilateral cooperation, the two airlines pledged to coordinate effectively within the framework of OANA cooperation./.
