Attending the event were Le Minh Tri, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Supreme People's Court; and Nguyen Ngoc Tuan, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee, Chairman of the Hanoi City People's Council, and Deputy Head of the Hanoi City National Assembly Delegation.

Here, Mr. Nguyen Tuong Linh, Director of the Organization and Personnel Department (Supreme People's Court), announced the Decision of the Supreme People's Court appointing Mr. Nguyen Xuan Ky (formerly an assistant to the Politburo member, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, and Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court) as the Chief Justice of the Hanoi People's Court.
Presenting the Decision and congratulating the new Chief Justice of the Hanoi People's Court, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Le Minh Tri expressed his confidence in Mr. Nguyen Xuan Ky's achievements, extensive experience, strong political acumen, moral character, and dedication to his work. He also expressed confidence that, in his new position, Chief Justice Nguyen Xuan Ky will utilize his abilities, intellect, and experience, and work together with the Hanoi People's Court to continue to excellently fulfill the assigned political tasks.
Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Le Minh Tri also assessed that Mr. Nguyen Huu Chinh, former Chief Justice of the Hanoi People's Court, had made many contributions to the judicial sector in general and the two-level courts of Hanoi in particular during his career. Especially, Mr. Nguyen Huu Chinh directly supervised the trial of many cases assigned by the Central Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption.

With 33 years of service in the judicial sector, including nearly 10 years as Chief Justice of the Hanoi People's Court, Mr. Nguyen Huu Chinh, a National Assembly representative for Hanoi for two terms, is an exemplary figure for officials at both levels of the Hanoi Court and the judicial sector in general. Although Mr. Nguyen Huu Chinh will not reach retirement age until December 1, 2024, he has submitted a request to the Party Committee of the Supreme People's Court for early retirement, which has been approved by the Party Committee of the Supreme People's Court.
Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Le Minh Tri acknowledged and highly appreciated Mr. Nguyen Huu Chinh's contributions to the judicial sector. He also expressed his hope that Mr. Nguyen Huu Chinh would continue to show interest in and be involved with judicial agencies in general, and especially with the Hanoi People's Court.

In his acceptance speech, the new Chief Justice of the Hanoi People's Court, Nguyen Xuan Ky, expressed his honor and extended his deepest gratitude to the Party Committee, the leadership of the Supreme People's Court, and the Standing Committee of the Hanoi City Party Committee for their trust in entrusting him with this important responsibility.
The new Chief Justice of the Hanoi People's Court pledged to make extraordinary efforts, continuously learn and improve, overcome difficulties and challenges, be dedicated, responsible, and united with the collective of the Hanoi People's Court to successfully complete all assigned tasks.
