In the joyful atmosphere celebrating the 94th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (18/11/1930-18/11/2024), this evening, November 11th, at building T9 of Times City urban area, the Fatherland Front Working Committee and the people of residential area No. 17, Vinh Tuy ward (Hai Ba Trung district) enthusiastically organized the 2024 National Unity Day.

Attending the program were the Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Council, and Deputy Head of the Hanoi City National Assembly Delegation, Nguyen Ngoc Tuan; the Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City, Nguyen Thi Kim Dung; and the Secretary of the Hai Ba Trung District Party Committee, Nguyen Van Nam.

Chairman of the Hanoi People's Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan and delegates from the city, Hai Ba Trung district, and Vinh Tuy ward joined the people and officials of Delegation No. 17 in celebrating the National Unity Day.

Also attending were representatives from the city's departments and agencies; leaders of Hai Ba Trung District; leaders of Vinh Tuy Ward; heads of the Fatherland Front Committees of 22 residential areas in the ward; and more than 150 representatives of the people, officials, and households living in Residential Area No. 17.

Here, following a speech promoting the 94-year tradition of the Vietnam Fatherland Front presented by a representative of the Party Branch of Residential Area No. 17, leaders of Hanoi City, Hai Ba Trung District, and Vinh Tuy Ward presented bouquets of flowers and gifts to congratulate the Fatherland Front Committee and the people of Residential Area No. 17. Specifically, the city leaders donated 10 million VND to the Residential Area, and the leaders of Hai Ba Trung District donated 10 million VND to disadvantaged families in Vinh Tuy Ward.

Regarding the situation of national unity and the results of implementing patriotic emulation movements and campaigns in the residential area in 2024, the Head of the Front Committee for National Unity No. 17, Le Xuan Hung, said that the area has 11 residential groups (TDPs) corresponding to 11 apartment buildings in Times City urban area, with 5,365 apartments and 13,949 residents living there, from diverse backgrounds and with a relatively high level of education. There are no poor or near-poor households; the income of residents is mostly quite good. The Front Committee for National Unity also consistently receives guidance and direction from the People's Committee and the Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Tuy ward, the leadership and attention of the Party Committee of the residential area, and close cooperation from the TDPs in the area, along with the enthusiastic participation of the residents.

In particular, from 2022 to the present, Hai Ba Trung District and Vinh Tuy Ward have implemented the project to develop Times City apartment complex into a "Smart City," creating favorable conditions for residents to receive support, connect with, and apply information technology, using modern equipment to serve their material and spiritual lives, contributing to building a cultured, civilized, safe, and livable community. The great national unity is increasingly strengthened and developed.

Secretary of the Hai Ba Trung District Party Committee Nguyen Van Nam and district leaders presented gifts to disadvantaged families in Vinh Tuy ward.

Notably, the Front Committee always proactively monitors the situation of residents in the residential areas; promptly visits, gives gifts, and provides material and spiritual support to families in difficult circumstances, the elderly, and the sick; organizes visits and encourages families experiencing bereavement; assists in organizing funerals when families request it; and organizes respectful condolences and farewells.

When Typhoon No. 3 and its remnants directly affected Hanoi, posing a risk of severe flooding in the areas surrounding the Red River, the local authorities prepared all community centers in buildings with essential facilities to accommodate evacuated residents. Responding to the call of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Tuy Ward, the local residents donated a total of 52 million VND to support flood victims.

Chairman of the Hanoi People's Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan presented gifts to 10 exemplary cultural families in Vinh Tuy ward.

This year, 100% of households in the area registered to achieve the title of "Culturally Exemplary Family"; after evaluation, 95% of households achieved the title of "Culturally Exemplary Family" or "Learning Family," and all 11 residential groups achieved the title of "Culturally Exemplary Residential Group"; 11 exemplary culturally exemplary families were selected to be recommended to the Ward People's Committee for Certificates of Commendation, and 110 families were recommended to be commended by the People's Committee.

The locality has actively encouraged households to adopt civilized practices regarding weddings and funerals in 2024, with 100% of families experiencing death opting for cremation; families also conduct civilized and economical weddings. The area also boasts a rich cultural and spiritual life, with vibrant cultural and sports activities. The Fatherland Front Committee has consistently encouraged people to contribute to various funds such as "For the Poor," "Gratitude and Repayment," "Education Promotion," "Disaster Prevention," and "Vietnam's Seas and Islands" of the ward; a total of 127 million VND has been submitted to the ward.

Leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City and the Office of the Delegation of National Assembly Deputies & People's Council of Hanoi City presented gifts to 10 exemplary cultural families of Delegation No. 17.

At the program, city, district, and ward leaders listened to the opinions of some households in the No. 17 residential area regarding their contributions to building national unity and implementing patriotic emulation campaigns and movements in the area.

On behalf of the city's leadership, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan shared some outstanding achievements in the implementation of political tasks, socio-economic development, and ensuring security and defense of Hanoi City, and affirmed that the residential groups and residents of Vinh Tuy ward and Hai Ba Trung district have made very important contributions to these overall achievements.

Representatives of the Party Branch and the Front Committee of the People's Committee of Ward No. 17 awarded commendations to 11 residential groups for their significant contributions to the overall emulation movement in the area in 2024.

The Chairman of the City People's Council said he was very impressed with the results achieved by Vinh Tuy Ward and Residential Area No. 17 in the past period, especially the maintenance of political security and social order; officials and people have promoted the spirit of solidarity, effectively implemented the campaigns and emulation movements of the district and the city, and especially always paid attention to preserving culture and a civilized and elegant lifestyle. The work of disseminating information and mobilizing people to participate in building a civilized urban area and protecting the environment has been carried out regularly, contributing to the beautification and development of the city, making it increasingly bright, green, clean, and beautiful.

Commending the achievements of the officials and people of District 17 and Vinh Tuy Ward in the past period, and congratulating the outstanding collectives and individuals honored and rewarded today, the Chairman of the Hanoi People's Council requested that in the coming time, the Party Committee, government, Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations of Hai Ba Trung District, Vinh Tuy Ward and the people focus on implementing solutions to develop the economy, continue to improve the people's lives; effectively manage, beautify and develop the urban area, protect the environment, and build a civilized and modern city; effectively implement the two Codes of Conduct of the City, contributing practically to building elegant and civilized Hanoi people.

Simultaneously, it is suggested that districts, wards, and grassroots organizations continue to proactively coordinate and facilitate the effective operation of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations; mobilize the people to actively participate in building a clean, strong, and practical grassroots political system; and pay attention to thoroughly resolving pressing social issues in the locality. At the same time, they should promptly support disadvantaged families and provide mutual assistance in life; and implement solutions to build increasingly united, safe, civilized, and modern residential areas.

At the event, Hanoi city leaders respectfully presented gifts to 10 exemplary cultural families of Vinh Tuy ward and 10 exemplary cultural families of the No. 17 residential area.

Leaders of Vinh Tuy ward (Hai Ba Trung district) presented gifts to 7 underprivileged students who have excelled in their studies.

In addition, representatives from the Party Branch and the Front Committee of the People's Committee of Ward 17 commended 11 residential groups for their significant contributions to the overall emulation movement in the area in 2024; leaders of Hai Ba Trung District presented gifts to 10 disadvantaged families in Vinh Tuy Ward; and leaders of Vinh Tuy Ward presented gifts to 7 disadvantaged students in the ward who have excelled in their studies.

Mr. Le Xuan Hung, on behalf of the Steering Committee for the People's Front of the People's Front No. 17, launched a campaign encouraging the people to participate in emulation movements to contribute to achieving the goals and tasks of the People's Front and the ward in 2025. He affirmed that the people and officials of the People's Front will fully implement the regulations on civilized urban living, build civilized, safe, clean, and beautiful apartment complexes, residential areas, and People's Fronts; striving to have 11 out of 11 residential areas achieve the title of "Cultural Residential Area," and 90% or more of households achieve the title of "Cultural Family" by 2025…
