Yen Luong commune was recognized as meeting the NTM standards in 2019. Over the past years, the entire political system of the commune and local people have constantly strived to improve the criteria as well as develop the socio-economy, aiming to successfully build an advanced NTM commune.

After a period of efforts, the commune has now met the criteria of an advanced NTM commune. The appearance of the commune has changed a lot, the environment and landscape are much brighter - greener - cleaner - more beautiful than when it was launched as a NTM commune.

Accordingly, the development of economic infrastructure and socio-cultural institutions has been increasingly invested in synchronously; local military and defense work has continued to achieve many encouraging results; political security and social order and safety in the area have been maintained; the political system has been constantly consolidated and strengthened in all aspects.

Programs and projects to support people in developing production and increasing income have always received attention. Up to now, the average income per capita has reached 72.11 million VND/person/year, an increase of 25.34 million VND/person/year compared to 2019. The poverty rate has decreased gradually every year, and people's material and spiritual lives have gradually improved. People's awareness of law compliance has been significantly improved.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Huynh Thanh Binh emphasized: After more than 10 years of implementation, the work of building new rural areas has become a widespread movement in the whole district with the participation of the entire political system, helping the work of building new rural areas achieve many remarkable achievements. With the attention, regular leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, the support, guidance and enthusiastic help of the provincial departments, branches and organizations, up to now, Go Cong Tay district has 12/12 communes that have met the new rural standards, of which 9/12 communes are advanced new rural areas, 2 model new rural areas, Vinh Binh town has met the civilized urban standards.

Implementing the current policy of merging and rearranging the organizational apparatus, according to the Project approved by the Provincial People's Committee, from July 1, 2025, Yen Luong commune will be merged with Binh Phu and Thanh Cong communes to establish a new commune - Phu Thanh commune. It can be said that these are 3 communes with a strong new rural construction movement in Go Cong Tay district, with 1 model new rural commune and 2 advanced new rural communes. Therefore, receiving the title of advanced new rural commune is an honor, a source of pride but at the same time a great responsibility of the Party Committee, government and people of Yen Luong commune in particular and Phu Thanh commune in the future in general.

In the coming time, the Chairman of the District People's Committee requested that the staff, civil servants, public employees and people of Yen Luong commune today as well as Phu Thanh commune in the future need to be consistent and highly unanimous in the revolutionary and historical policy of the country, quickly stabilize the payroll, organization, feel secure in their thoughts, unite from top to bottom, and be determined to build the homeland and the country to develop more and more.
