Tay Ninh Economic Zone Trade Union: Launching Workers' Month and Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health in 2025

The groups received emulation flags from the Tay Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor.

Attending the event were Mr. Trinh Van Phuoc - Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation; Ms. Pham Vu Anh Thi - Deputy Head of the Economic Zone Management Board; representatives of Tay Ninh Police; leaders of Trang Bang Town People's Committee; representatives of enterprises, chairmen and vice chairmen of grassroots trade unions, and nearly 600 union members and workers in industrial parks and export processing zones in the area.

Mr. Trinh Van Phuoc - Chairman of Tay Ninh Provincial Labor Federation awarded certificates of merit from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to representatives of 3 groups.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Lien - Chairwoman of the Economic Zone Trade Union said that since 2012, the Central Party Secretariat has issued Notice No. 77, taking May every year as "Workers' Month" and basically agreed with the proposal of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to organize activities during "Workers' Month", with the goal of caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers, civil servants and laborers; building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in enterprises; strengthening the leadership of Party committees at all levels, enhancing the responsibility of authorities at all levels to pay attention to building the Vietnamese working class in the period of promoting industrialization and modernization of the country.

The theme of Workers' Month is "Vietnamese workers pioneering into a new era" and the 2025 Action Month on occupational safety and hygiene is "Strengthening assessment and identification of hazards and risks, proactively implementing measures to ensure occupational safety and hygiene at the workplace".

Individuals were awarded certificates of merit by the Tay Ninh Labor Federation.

In order to practically respond to the "Workers' Month" and "Occupational Safety and Hygiene Action Month" in 2025 organized by the Provincial Federation of Labor and the Provincial People's Committee, in addition to the directions for the grassroots trade union to coordinate with employers to focus on implementing key activities, the Economic Zone Trade Union and its affiliated grassroots trade unions register for key useful jobs, with each grassroots trade union providing a member benefit including 30 contents, including developing an additional 3,500 union members; introducing 220 outstanding union members to the Party for consideration and training to join the Party; organizing social, cultural, artistic and sports activities; dialogue, signing collective labor agreements, coordinating to supervise the implementation of laws on occupational safety and hygiene, etc.

At the same time, each worker promotes dynamism and creativity in production labor, improves professional qualifications and skills; effectively implements emulation movements, innovation... contributing to increasing labor productivity, improving the operational efficiency of agencies, units and enterprises, ready to enter a new era, an era of national growth.

On this occasion, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded certificates of merit to 3 groups and 8 individuals; the Tay Ninh Provincial Confederation of Labor awarded emulation flags to 4 groups with outstanding achievements in trade union activities and the workers' movement; the Provincial Confederation of Labor awarded comprehensive certificates of merit to 5 groups and 10 individuals; 2 groups received certificates of merit on the topic of Green - Clean - Beautiful, ensuring occupational safety and hygiene and 2 groups received certificates of merit on the topic of Culture and Sports.

Leaders of the Provincial Federation of Labor and the Economic Zone Trade Union presented gifts to workers and union members in difficult circumstances at the launching ceremony.

During the launching ceremony, the Economic Zone Trade Union organized the awarding of 200 gifts to workers in difficult circumstances and those who had work-related accidents, each worth 800,000 VND, to "Thank the workers" for their contributions to help businesses develop production, contributing to the growing socio-economic development of the province.
