On the morning of December 18, attending the conference to review the work of 2024 and deploy key tasks for 2025 in the culture, sports and tourism sector, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested to build and perfect institutions to attract resources, encourage talented people with passion and handle those who hinder the development of culture, sports and tourism.
The conference with the theme "Building an advanced culture, imbued with national identity - The driving force for national development in the new era - The era of the Vietnamese people's rise" was held directly at the Government Headquarters, online to 63 provinces and centrally-run cities and to over 700 districts, towns and cities under provinces and cities.

The Prime Minister presented lessons learned and analyzed the context and situation in the coming time, especially 2025, which is identified as a year of special significance - a year of acceleration, breakthrough, and reaching the finish line to successfully implement the 5-year socio-economic development plan 2021-2025. At the same time, 2025 will see many important events in the country: the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Party, the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South, the reunification of the country, the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, and the 80th anniversary of the founding of the country.
2025 will also be the year of reorganizing the apparatus and holding Party Congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Party Congress to open a new era, an era of national growth, development, wealth and prosperity.
On that basis, the Prime Minister requested the culture, sports and tourism sectors to truly innovate their thinking, make breakthroughs in creating development space for culture, sports and tourism to "take off"; dare to think, dare to do, dare to take responsibility for the common good.
The entire industry is highly determined and makes great efforts to promptly, flexibly and effectively implement tasks and solutions with the spirit of "The Party has directed, the Government has agreed, the National Assembly agrees, the people support, the Fatherland expects," "only discuss and do, not retreat," with innovative and strategic thinking, foresight, broad-mindedness, deep thinking, big action; promoting intelligence, courage, valuing time and decisiveness."

Reiterating President Ho Chi Minh's teaching: "Culture lights the way for the nation," the Prime Minister emphasized that the culture of the Vietnamese people - with a history of thousands of years - is the nation's eternal strength; developing physical education and sports is an objective requirement, a mandatory requirement, contributing to the formation of a healthy nation; tourism is a key economic sector. Therefore, the whole sector plays an important role, has a profound impact, is national, comprehensive, global, and is urgent and strategic for the country's economic and social development.
