On the morning of February 28th, at the headquarters of the Provincial People's Committee, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh, Vice Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee, received the delegation from the Guangxi Cultural Industry Group (China) in a courtesy meeting.
At the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hanh emphasized: Within the framework of the 2025 Spring Meeting between the Secretaries of 5 provinces/regions: Quang Ninh, Lang Son, Cao Bang, Ha Giang (Vietnam), Guangxi (China), which recently took place in Ha Long City, all sides are interested in promoting and expanding comprehensive cooperation in all fields, including culture and tourism.
In 2025, Quang Ninh province aims for a 14% GRDP growth rate, with tourism being a key driver. In 2024, the province reached its target of welcoming 19 million visitors. Chinese tourists accounted for approximately 50% of international visitors to Quang Ninh. The province has identified the need to boost the development of the cultural industry and create more attractive tourism products based on its natural, cultural, and human potential, especially the Ha Long Bay World Heritage site, which has been recognized three times by UNESCO.
The experience and support from foreign entities such as the Guangxi Cultural Industry Group are invaluable for Quang Ninh province to quickly develop new tourism products, such as live performances combining modern world-class science and technology with the talent of Quang Ninh artists, honoring and promoting the beauty of Ha Long Bay and the unique charm of Quang Ninh province to domestic and international tourists.
Representatives of the Guangxi Cultural Industry Group (China) delegation stated that during their time in Quang Ninh, the delegation will work with leaders of the Quang Ninh Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to conduct on-site surveys and develop suitable ideas to advise the province on script development, locations, staging plans, support for artists' training, sound and lighting equipment, and performance operation. The delegation also hopes that this trip will open up more opportunities for cooperation and investment between the Group and Quang Ninh province in the future, contributing to the concretization of the memorandums of understanding between the leaders of 5 provinces/regions of Vietnam and China within the framework of the Spring Meeting 2025 program.
Concluding the courtesy meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hanh also emphasized that the Quang Ninh provincial leadership will direct relevant departments and agencies to provide maximum support to the Group regarding administrative procedures in accordance with Vietnamese law; and at the same time, proactively invite and attract investors to accelerate the progress of building new tourism products.
