"The company has many orders, so we can work overtime. Recently, workers and laborers mainly work during office hours," Mr. T. shared.

Therefore, this male worker's income has stagnated, only from 7-8 million VND/month. When working overtime regularly, he can earn up to 12 million VND/month.

During this holiday, the company's 1,500 workers took the full number of days off as required. No workers voluntarily registered to work during the holiday.

Mr. T. saved the bonus for daily expenses. Besides, he also saved some money to travel with friends and relatives during the last holiday of the year.

Ms. LHT - accountant of a school equipment manufacturing company (in Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City) - said that the National Day bonus is an annual welfare policy. Previously, the company had a regulation of giving a bonus of 300,000 VND/person during this period.

From 2021, on National Day, workers will have 2 days off. Therefore, Ms. T's bonus has been doubled, up to 600,000 VND/person. On this occasion, workers have time to rest and reunite with their families after a period of hard work.

Not only do businesses have days off, they also add appropriate bonuses as a way to care for and connect workers to the business.

In addition to monetary rewards, many businesses also maintain the form of giving gifts to employees in kind. A set of rice bowls, an umbrella, a carton of fresh milk, a box of moon cakes... are gifts that employees receive at many businesses in the North.

According to the provisions of the Labor Law, employers will base on production and business results and the level of work completion of employees to reward employees.

The bonus regulations are decided by the employer and publicly announced at the workplace after consulting the employee representative organization at the workplace where there is an employee representative organization.
