Strengthening solidarity, unity, gathering, and promoting the strength of national solidarity

The work of the front in the district has been implemented comprehensively, focusing on the grassroots, with practical tasks such as: Taking care of social security; mobilizing people to join hands to build bridges and rural roads; promoting the role of social supervision and criticism. At the same time, attention has been paid to building a team of front cadres with capacity, enthusiasm, professional qualifications, meeting the requirements of front work in the new situation, closely following the grassroots, and closely attached to the masses.

With the contribution of charitable organizations and individuals, the work of mobilizing the Fund for the Poor, taking care of social security, giving Tet gifts, supporting the poor, near-poor, supporting poor students, visiting unexpected difficulties and supporting Great Unity houses in the district has been well implemented. In particular, the district's fronts at all levels have actively participated in implementing the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses. According to Decision 04-QD/BCĐ, dated March 12, 2025 of the Steering Committee for the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in An Giang province on approving the need to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province, Chau Phu district has approved 167 households to receive housing support, including 123 households needing to build new houses and 44 households needing to repair. Of these, there are 49 households with revolutionary contributions and 118 poor and near-poor households. To date, new construction and repairs have been completed.

For poor and near-poor households, being supported with a sturdy house to protect them from the rain and sun is a great joy. Mr. Phung Van Minh Thang's household (Binh Thien hamlet, Binh Thuy commune, Chau Phu district) has a large population and is in difficult circumstances. Family members depend on Mr. Thang's hired work. All family members are happy to be supported with a sturdy house. Mr. Phung Van Minh Thang said: "This is a great joy for the whole family. I don't know what to say other than thank the locality, the Fatherland Front, the financial support unit, and the benefactors who helped me get the house."

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of districts, communes and towns also coordinate with local authorities and socio -political organizations to propagate and mobilize local people to join hands and implement the National Target Program on New Rural Development, mobilizing the strength of great solidarity among the people to participate in social and charitable work. Activities are carried out on the voluntary spirit of the people according to the motto "People know, people discuss, people do, people inspect, people benefit". Thereby, helping to strengthen people's trust in the leadership of the Party and the administration of the State, contributing to building an increasingly strong national solidarity bloc.

Implementing democracy, representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the People, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the district coordinated with the Standing Committee of the People's Council and the People's Committee of the district to organize meetings with voters of the National Assembly and People's Councils at 3 levels for the 2021-2026 term before and after the sessions. The opinions and recommendations of voters were compiled by the Front and sent to the competent authorities for timely response and resolution. The Committee for implementing the grassroots democracy regulations organized People's conferences in hamlets and villages, recording many opinions of the People on upgrading asphalt roads in rural areas, environmental pollution, security and order, construction works and projects to develop the local economy , procedures for making citizen identification cards, social security policies, housing, etc. The opinions were explained and clarified by the local authorities, creating trust among the People. The Commune and Town Community Investment Supervision Board has established teams to supervise projects with investment capital from the State budget and projects contributed by the people.

Based on the results, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in Chau Phu district will continue to innovate the content and methods of operation, diversify forms of propaganda, mobilization, gather people from all walks of life, strengthen social consensus, promote the strength of the great national solidarity bloc. The front system continues to propagate and implement the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" through practical actions and deeds, serving the development of the community. Strengthen the mobilization of the Fund for the Poor, take care of social security. Regularly visit dignitaries, officials and prestigious people in ethnic minorities and religions on important holidays, further strengthen the relationship of solidarity, attachment, gathering, and promote the strength of the great national solidarity bloc.

The district continues to perform well its role as a representative to protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the people; improve the quality and effectiveness of social supervision and criticism, promote democracy, and participate in building the Party and the State. Timely grasp public opinion and thoughts of all classes of people to reflect to the Party committees, authorities at the same level and the superior front... Through campaigns and emulation movements to promote the spirit of solidarity and creativity among all classes of people to contribute to the successful implementation of local socio-economic development goals, ensuring national defense and security.
