FIFA has sold more than 1 million tickets for the 2023 Women's World Cup finals. This is a record high and more than the total number of tickets sold at the tournament held four years ago.

On his personal page, FIFA President Gianni Infantino announced: “Delighted to share with the world that FIFA has sold one million tickets for the 2023 Women's World Cup co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand. As I write this, 1,032,884 tickets have been sold. This means we have surpassed the number of tickets sold in France in 2019, with more than a month to go before the tournament starts.”
“The 2023 Women’s World Cup will be the most attended Women’s World Cup in history. The future belongs to women. Thank you to the fans who have supported the greatest tournament ever. I look forward to seeing you all and witnessing the stars of women’s football shine on the world stage,” Infantino added.
According to Goal, experts expect that the 2023 Women's World Cup will attract 2 billion television viewers during the month-long tournament. This would also be another record for the tournament.
Women's football is increasingly attracting the attention of football fans. In March 2022, 91,553 people came to Camp Nou to watch the second leg of the 2021/22 Women's Champions League quarter-final between Barcelona and Real Madrid, thereby becoming the highest-attended women's football match in history.
The increased interest means bigger bonuses for the women’s players. $30,000 is the minimum prize money for each player participating in the biggest women’s football festival on the planet. Meanwhile, the winning team will pocket $27,000. This is part of the $110 million that FIFA has spent on prizes for teams. That’s about 300% more than the 2019 Women’s World Cup.
The Vietnamese women's team is honored to participate in this year's World Cup. Coach Mai Duc Chung and his team will face the US, Portugal and the Netherlands. The US and the Netherlands are the defending champions and runners-up of the tournament.
The FIFA rankings of the Vietnamese women's team will be directly affected by these matches. However, this is a great opportunity for coach Huynh Nhu and his teammates to gain valuable experience against top teams.
