Recently, a video extracted from a security camera went viral on social media showing a woman riding an electric bicycle disregarding traffic police instructions and crashing straight into a convoy of priority vehicles at an intersection in Ha Tinh City.

According to the video, the incident occurred at 7:42 AM on July 1st at the intersection of Vu Quang Street, Nguyen Du Street, and Tran Phu Street (formerly National Highway 1A), in Tran Phu Ward, Ha Tinh City, Ha Tinh Province.

At that time, Officer Trinh Minh Tuan of the Traffic Police Team of the City Police Department was on duty directing traffic, guiding and signaling vehicles at the intersection to stop and give way to the priority convoy entering the city center.

At that moment, a woman unexpectedly rode her electric bicycle, intending to speed straight through the intersection. Upon noticing this, Mr. Trinh Minh Tuan quickly ran over and used his body to block the vehicle, causing both of them to fall to the ground.

After the clip was posted on social media, the public praised the timely action of the traffic police officers of Ha Tinh City Police Department.

Speaking to a VietNamNet reporter, the leader of the Traffic Police Team of Ha Tinh City said that at the time the traffic police signaled to close the road, the woman in question may not have paid attention to the signal, which led to the incident.

"Fortunately, neither the woman nor the traffic police officer were injured. If they hadn't intervened in time, the woman would have run straight into the convoy of priority vehicles, which would have been very dangerous. The actions of traffic police officer Trinh Minh Tuan are highly commendable," said the leader of the Ha Tinh City Traffic Police Team.
