On the afternoon of September 27th, a representative from the Traffic Police Department ( Ministry of Public Security ) announced that the unit had just issued a plan for a nationwide campaign to ensure traffic order and safety for students.

According to representatives from the Traffic Police Department, in recent times, the situation regarding traffic safety violations by students has become increasingly complex, leading to many serious traffic accidents. The plan requires traffic police nationwide to intensify inspections and handle violations of traffic safety regulations involving middle and high school students, their parents, guardians, and those who provide vehicles to students who do not meet the driving requirements, as well as vehicle owners and parents transporting students who violate regulations on road, inland waterway, and rail transport.

The inspection and handling of violations are carried out thoroughly and maintained regularly and continuously, creating positive changes in the awareness and compliance with traffic safety laws among parents and students, ensuring strict adherence to the law and minimizing traffic accidents involving students.

In the field of road transport, traffic police will patrol and control traffic on major urban routes, inter-village and inter-commune roads, district and provincial roads, national highways, areas near schools, and areas where many young people gather and violate traffic safety regulations.

Focus on violations such as: driving without a license, not wearing a helmet, carrying more passengers than allowed, failing to obey traffic lights, driving in parallel formations... and cases of students and parents violating parking regulations on the road, sidewalks, and intersections, causing traffic congestion and posing a potential risk of traffic accidents.

In the field of inland waterways, patrols and inspections are conducted in port areas, wharves, and waterways frequently used to transport students to school…

Focus on violations such as: picking up and dropping off passengers in unauthorized locations, carrying more passengers than permitted, and failing to provide adequate safety equipment (life jackets, life-saving equipment, rescue equipment for students, etc.).

The peak period for implementation is from October 1st to October 31st.
