Scene of the training class to disseminate documents guiding the implementation of investment content and support for the development of medicinal herb growing areas in the year 2025.
Attending the Conference were Mr. Tran Duc Huu, Deputy Director of the Department of Traditional Medicine and Pharmacy Management; Mr. Dang Tien Hung, Deputy Chief of Office, National Coordination Office for Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas; Mr. Tran Minh Ngoc, Director of the Institute of Medicinal Materials; leaders of units under the Ministry of Health , along with representatives of the Oriental Medicine Association, medicinal material production and trading establishments and related units of 16 provinces and cities. On the side of Cao Bang province, attending the Conference were Mr. Nong Van Thanh - Deputy Director of the Department of Health, Ms. Ma Thi Tra My - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, leaders of the Traditional Medicine and Pharmacy General Hospital - Rehabilitation and related officials.
In his opening speech, comrade Tran Duc Huu emphasized that the training conference aims to ensure that localities fully grasp the adjusted contents of the National Target Program as well as the implementation process of investment activities in precious medicinal plant growing areas in 2025. Standardizing guidance and supervision work will contribute to improving the efficiency of capital use, while creating favorable conditions for localities in the implementation process.
At the Conference, delegates were informed of the contents related to the adjustments and supplements to the National Target Program on socio -economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas; Processes, techniques and requirements in implementing investment activities, supporting the development of medicinal plant growing areas in the first quarter of 2025; Local tasks in organizing production, linking consumption, preserving and developing medicinal plant resources.
Representatives of professional agencies exchanged and answered questions at the Conference.
During the discussion, delegates from the provinces raised difficulties and problems related to project establishment, appraisal and approval; coordination mechanism between departments and branches; technical support process for growing areas and linking medicinal herb consumption. Representatives of the Department of Traditional Medicine Management, the Institute of Medicinal Materials and the National Coordination Office specifically answered each content, guiding implementation plans in accordance with regulations and actual conditions.
The training conference contributes to improving the capacity of provincial officials, ensuring that the implementation of support content for the development of precious medicinal herb growing areas is carried out in a unified, synchronous and effective manner, contributing to the socio-economic development goals of ethnic minority and mountainous areas in the 2021 - 2025 period.
