According to the Memorandum of Understanding dated January 9, 2025 between the General Department of Logistics (now the General Department of Logistics - Engineering) and the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (now the Vietnam National Industry and Energy Group), the Department of Petroleum has actively and proactively implemented the contents of the memorandum, closely coordinated with agencies and member units of PVN to well implement the contents according to the roadmap of the memorandum of understanding.

Along with that, actively share the existing infrastructure of the two sides in coordinating military , defense and oil and gas tasks; sign the Coordination Regulation on cooperation in research and production of special fuels and some types of specialized grease; coordinate in building the process of operation, preservation and maintenance of the newly built petroleum depot according to plan.

In the coming time, to continue implementing the Government 's policy and effectively implementing the memorandum of understanding, the Petroleum Department has agreed to coordinate with PVN's member units to urgently implement stable cooperation contents and expand cooperation in potential areas between the two sides in the period of 2025-2030 and the following years. In particular, continuing to research and produce new fuels and greases, improving the quality of special fuels in preservation and storage; coordinating to organize acceptance, operation, preservation and effective exploitation of newly built petroleum depots to ensure proper procedures, strictness and absolute safety.

At the same time, continue to share infrastructure between the two sides; actively coordinate research, production, and supply of products applied from petroleum, light materials for the petroleum industry that are suitable and environmentally friendly.
