The Central Secretariat of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union has just organized the first political essay contest on protecting the Party's ideological foundation among youth union members and young people in 2025. This contest is in response to the 5th political essay contest on protecting the Party's ideological foundation in 2025 and implementing Plan No. 320-KH/TWĐTN-BTG, dated January 3, 2025 of the Central Secretariat of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union on protecting the Party's ideological foundation in 2025.
Contestants are Union, Association, Pioneer officials, union members and Vietnamese youth at home and abroad.
Each author/group of authors can submit up to 6 entries, in various categories. Specifically, for written works that are political articles, they can be in the form of newspaper or magazine articles. In case the article has been published in the mass media, the author must send along proof that the article has been published. The article must be submitted in pdf file format or as an image via the contest website.

Multimedia works belong to 1 of 2 main categories: radio, television, video clips and graphic products (inforgraphics, posters, banners, propaganda paintings...).
Regarding the criteria, the entries must be political works in Vietnamese (or ethnic minority languages, foreign languages with Vietnamese translations) in one of the categories stated in the contest rules.
The entry must be a first-time creative product, unpublished or published since October 20, 2024 on mass media and social networks but has never been submitted to any contest.
Consider awarding prizes for outstanding works
The Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the contest organizers have the right to use the entries to publish on mass media to serve the task of protecting the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints.
For the entries, the organizers have the right to publish and attach the contest logo to these entries on the website receiving entries for the purpose of propaganda and organizing voting for favorite entries.
In the final round, excellent works will be submitted to the 5th Political Essay Contest to Protect the Party's Ideological Foundation in 2025, organized by the Central Propaganda and Education Commission, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and coordinating agencies; at the same time, awards will be given to outstanding works participating in the contest of the Union.
The award ceremony is expected to take place around August - September 2025. Regarding the award structure, each category of newspaper, magazine; video clip, radio, television; graphic product has 1 A prize, 2 B prizes, 3 C prizes and 4 consolation prizes.
Each author/group of authors with winning works will receive a certificate of merit from the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union, a souvenir cup and a cash prize.
In addition, the organizing committee also awarded 1 prize to the group with the largest number of entries and 1 prize to the group with the highest percentage of members participating in the contest. Each prize received a certificate of merit from the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union and a cash prize.

The Organizing Committee accepts applications and entries from April 1 to end of day June 15, 2025 .
