The person in distress at sea was Mr. THQ (38 years old, residing in Ky Anh commune, Ha Tinh).

Immediately, Ky Khang Border Guard Station sent 5 officers and soldiers to the sea area where the fishermen were in distress to search and rescue.

"Mr. Q. went squid fishing alone on a small boat, encountered a storm and the boat capsized. Afterwards, Mr. Q. hugged a styrofoam box on the boat to keep it from sinking" - Lieutenant Colonel Cuong said.

During the search, the border guards discovered Mr. Q. holding a styrofoam box trying to swim to shore, so they approached to rescue him and promptly brought the victim to safety.
