Previously, on the morning of April 21, the emergency department of Viet Tiep Friendship Hospital received male patient NHK (born in 1978, residing in Minh Duc ward, Do Son district, Hai Phong city), in a coma.
Doctors performed a CT scan and discovered a metal foreign body in the shape of a nail piercing through the parietal bone and brain parenchyma of the left frontal lobe and left lateral ventricle, causing a fracture of the parietal bone and scattered cerebral hemorrhage in the left parietal region, many intracranial air bubbles, and intraventricular hemorrhage.

The examination results also showed that the patient had many wounds from 2.5cm to 10cm long, the edges of the crushed wounds were mainly located on the top of the head and temples, and the patient had lost a lot of blood.
Immediately, the hospital activated the red alert, established a surgical team of 10 doctors from the departments of Neurosurgery, Anesthesia, Resuscitation, Hematology and Blood Transfusion, and Emergency, to perform the surgery.
After a period of careful, professional and highly responsible surgery, the surgery was successful, removing the foreign object, a 10cm long nail, from the head of the NHK patient. Currently, the patient is out of danger.

According to the patient's family, because Mr. NHK did not return home overnight on April 20, his family went to look for him. At around 6:00 a.m. on April 21, they found him lying at the base of a tree with many bleeding wounds on his head. His family took Mr. K to the Do Son District Medical Center, then transferred him to the Viet Tiep Friendship Hospital.
The victim's family has reported the incident to local authorities, and the police are coordinating to verify and investigate the cause.
