Da Nang supports excellent students with difficult circumstances

The People's Committee of Da Nang City has just approved the acceptance of the SEEDSEducation and Skills Development Scholarship project of the City's Charity and Children's Rights Protection Association sponsored by the Pacific Links Foundation.

Along with support programs from foreign organizations, the city has recently implemented many support programs, tuition exemptions, scholarships... to help students in difficult circumstances excel in their studies.

Accordingly, the SEEDS Education and Skills Development Scholarship project will be implemented from September 2023 to August 2024 to reduce the risk of dropping out of school and improve the quality of learning for 123 excellent students from difficult circumstances in Da Nang city (including 29 junior high school students, 73 high school students and 21 university students) with a total capital of more than 2.5 billion VND.

The project will support scholarships, learning tools, English learning support, summer camp participation, skill activities; and tuition support for excellent and typical students participating in the project to study a 2-month summer English course at prestigious centers in Da Nang to help them improve their English and increase their confidence.

The project will also organize a summer camp to orient the future for some excellent and typical students and provide life skills, online English self-study skills, and communication for the children participating in the project...

The People's Committee of Da Nang City requested the City's Charity and Children's Rights Protection Association to coordinate with the sponsoring unit to properly implement the approved project content, not to carry out other activities outside the framework of the project. At the same time, it is agreed that the aid recipient must implement the corresponding contents according to the regulations on regimes and norms, integrate into the programs and projects being implemented, and perform the assigned tasks in the spirit of thrift and efficiency.
