Currently, many residential areas in the communes of Thang Binh, Dai Loc, Vu Gia, Dien Ban, Duy Xuyen, and Hoi An have been flooded again, making the use of electricity unsafe.

To ensure absolute safety for people, Da Nang Electricity Company temporarily stopped supplying electricity to customers in the above-mentioned flooded areas from this morning, November 3.

According to Da Nang Electricity Company, as of 9:00 a.m. on November 3, 2025, the total number of customers without power due to rising water levels was 72,677, accounting for 8.3% of the total number of customers in the city.

Previously, implementing the direction of the People's Committee of Da Nang City on focusing on overcoming the damage caused by floods and quickly restoring safe electricity to the people, Da Nang Electricity Company mobilized nearly 1,000 officers, engineers, skilled workers and used all means, materials, and spare equipment, coordinating with local authorities to quickly approach and handle the damage on the power grid to ensure absolute safety before restoring electricity to the people. In particular, promptly restoring the incident of the fallen pole on the 110KV line, restoring electricity to all customers in the area of Phuoc Son district (old).

Thanks to that, by the evening of November 2, Da Nang city only had 3,892 customers, mainly in isolated and flooded areas with difficult access, including Tra Giap, Nam Tra My, Hung Son, A Vuong, Tay Giang, Ha Nha, Nong Son communes... whose power supply had not been restored, accounting for 0.4% of the total number of customers.

On the morning of November 3, Truong Hai Group Joint Stock Company ( THACO ) donated 5 billion VND to Da Nang city to help overcome the consequences of floods, helping people soon stabilize their lives and restore production after natural disasters.

Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City, Le Tri Thanh, received and expressed his gratitude for the timely and meaningful support from THACO Group. He affirmed that this is a valuable source of encouragement, demonstrating the spirit of social responsibility and the cooperation of businesses with the city's government and people to overcome difficulties after natural disasters.

The historic floods at the end of October killed 12 people, left four missing; many residential areas, traffic infrastructure, public works, schools and medical facilities were severely damaged, with total estimated damage of about 837 billion VND.

Previously, Da Nang city spent 210 billion VND from the budget to directly support people affected by damage and repair essential infrastructure works after floods.

This funding source is prioritized for early stabilization of life, ensuring adequate food, clean water, and necessities for the people, "so that no one goes hungry or short of clothes." The city also focuses on repairing traffic works, electricity, water supply, environmental sanitation, healthcare, education... to quickly restore normal activities.

In addition to the budget, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city continues to mobilize and receive support from agencies, organizations, businesses and individuals to promptly help people in affected areas.

The support of the business community, including THACO Group, along with the determination of the city government is an important resource to help Da Nang quickly overcome the consequences, stabilize people's lives, restore production and build a safe urban area, adapting to natural disasters in the coming time.
