Da Nang: Promoting the development of digital economy and digital society

The Department of Science and Technology of Da Nang City and the National Center for Electronic Authentication cooperate to promote the development of digital economy and digital society in Da Nang City.

On October 31, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hong, Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Da Nang City, said that the Department has just signed a cooperation agreement with the National Center for Electronic Authentication, to strengthen coordination in implementing activities to promote and develop electronic transactions to serve digital transformation.

According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hong, the Department of Science and Technology will direct its units to closely coordinate with the Branch of the National Electronic Authentication Center in Da Nang City as well as the business community to implement the signed contents to achieve the highest targets and results to serve the people quickly and effectively.

According to the Memorandum of Understanding, the two sides will coordinate to implement many key contents such as implementing activities to promote and support organizations, businesses, and people to use digital signatures and reliable services; propagating, disseminating, training, educating the law, supporting the promotion of the use of reliable services, and increasing the rate of digital signature popularization for adults in Da Nang City.

The two sides also develop and provide digital signature and trust services and utilities in digital government, digital economy and digital society, promote the development of applications, acceptance and widespread use of digital signatures locally; deploy consulting, training, coaching and technology transfer services related to digital signatures and trust services.

Ms. To Thi Thu Huong, Director of the National Center for Electronic Authentication, said that the center is committed to accompanying Da Nang City in all activities to promote and develop electronic transactions, provide reliable services and digital signature infrastructure, share professional resources, technology and data to support the digital transformation process of the government, businesses and people, making practical contributions to the process of sustainable digital economic development and enhancing the city's digital competitiveness.

"The cooperation between the Department of Science and Technology of Da Nang City and the National Center for Electronic Authentication demonstrates the common determination in building a solid and reliable infrastructure, accompanying the digital transformation and innovation process of Da Nang City in particular and the Central region in general," said Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hong.
