On the morning of May 30 (April 12, Quy Mao year), the People's Committee of Hai Thanh ward (Nghi Son town) solemnly organized the Lach Bang Fishing Bridge Festival 2023.

Since ancient times, the alluvial soil of the two branches of the Kenh Than River and the Bang River has formed the Thanh - Binh land. Since the reclamation of the village, the main occupation of the people here has been fishing, processing and aquaculture. On this stormy and harsh land, the people of Hai Thanh and Hai Binh wards have always supported and helped each other in production and labor, and united in community cultural activities.
In particular, Cau Ngu Festival is a cultural and religious activity imbued with traditional cultural nuances, preserved from generation to generation until today.

Cau Ngu Festival expresses the desire to pray for favorable weather, calm seas and boats with full holds of fish and shrimp. At the same time, it is also an opportunity for coastal residents here to encourage each other to stick to the sea to produce, contributing to affirming the sovereignty of the country's sea and islands.

The 2023 Cau Ngu Lach Bang Festival was held in a solemn and respectful atmosphere, attracting a large number of people in Hai Thanh and Hai Binh wards and tourists from all over the country to attend.

Within the framework of the Festival, there are also many unique folk games, such as: Swimming competition (men) on Lach Bang River, fishermen weaving nets, blindfolded pot smashing, fresh fish grilling... Along with that is the display of typical local OCOP products.
