ICTU Leaders and OKX Blockchain Platform Sign Memorandum of Understanding
Speaking at the program, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huy Dung welcomed and highly appreciated the cooperation between the University of Information and Communications Technology and the OKX Blockchain platform. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hopes that this is a new milestone in the process of training, research, and building a technology community in Thai Nguyen, contributing to the development of Thai Nguyen province in particular and the northern midland and mountainous provinces in general.
Comrade Nguyen Huy Dung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hopes that the cooperation will contribute to the development of Thai Nguyen province and the northern midland and mountainous provinces.
The program aims to build highly qualified human resources, while responding to Decision No. 1236/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister, promulgating the National Strategy on application and development of blockchain technology to 2025, with a vision to 2030. The cooperation and sharing of both sides is the key to taking a shortcut - catching the Blockchain wave, making ICTU the leading Blockchain training center in Vietnam. This is a new milestone in the process of training, research, and building a technology community in Thai Nguyen, contributing to the development of Thai Nguyen province in particular and the northern midland and mountainous provinces in general.
Delegates attending the Seminar “Catching the Crypto Wave - Opportunities and Challenges”
At the program, ICTU and OKX Blockchain platform signed a Memorandum of Understanding, cooperating in 3 main strategies including: Training, officially teaching Blockchain at ICTU, becoming one of the important subjects with the Fintech major. Researching and building ICTU Blockchain LAB, in parallel with piloting the application of Blockchain to manage certificates provided by ICTU. Building a Blockchain student community with a series of plans: Establishing a Blockchain Club, organizing activities to learn about Blockchain, organizing a Creative Application Competition, bringing Blockchain to develop the local economy, ICTU Blockchain Festival, with more than 4,000 students attending.
10 outstanding students awarded financial technology scholarships
At the program, representatives of ICTU and OKX presented the Blockchain & NFT application project, developing Thai Nguyen province's tourism economy in 2025; awarded financial technology scholarships to 10 excellent students; and organized the "Catching the Crypto Wave - Opportunities and Challenges" seminar with the participation of leading experts, providing a more general view of Blockchain application in businesses, different career positions in the industry for more than 300 ICTU students.
