The 1st Dak Lak Provincial Party Congress held a preparatory session.

On the afternoon of September 29, the 1st Congress of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030, officially opened its preparatory session. This is a major political event of historical significance, marking an important turning point in the development process of the province after its establishment on the basis of merging Dak Lak and Phu Yen provinces.

The Congress took place over 3 days, from September 29 to October 1 with the motto: "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough - Development". The Congress was chaired by: Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Trung; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Cao Thi Hoa An; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ta Anh Tuan; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Huynh Thi Chien Hoa; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Huynh Thi Chien Hoa and Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Do Huu Huy.

Also attending the Congress were members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, representatives of Central departments and offices and 449 official delegates, of which 60 were ex-officio delegates, representing more than 137,200 party members of the entire provincial Party Committee.

The Congress took place in a new context and situation, demonstrating the highest political determination of the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in building Dak Lak to develop rapidly, sustainably, civilized, rich in identity, contributing worthily to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation in the new era.

The Dak Lak Provincial Party Secretary also asked the delegates to promote the spirit of democracy and responsibility, focus on discussions, and contribute profound opinions; at the same time, select typical faces to participate in the Presidium, Secretariat and Delegate Qualification Examination Board, ensuring the Congress takes place successfully and in accordance with regulations.

During the afternoon session on September 29, the Congress elected a Presidium of 12 comrades, a Secretariat of 3 comrades and a Delegate Qualification Examination Board of 13 comrades.

The Congress also approved the program and working regulations; disseminated documents of the Central Committee related to the Congress; and assigned 7 discussion groups to focus on contributing ideas to the draft documents to be submitted to the 14th National Party Congress and the draft documents to be submitted to the Provincial Party Congress. This is an important preparatory step, ensuring that the discussion contents at the Congress are conducted democratically, scientifically and on target.

The 1st Congress of Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee not only focused on organization but also spent a lot of time discussing, debating, demonstrating the province's intelligence and development aspirations. Director of the Provincial Department of Education and Training Le Thi Thanh Xuan emphasized the need to build a modern national education system, improve people's knowledge, quality of human resource training, and focus on nurturing and using talents.

Director of the Provincial Department of Science and Technology Bui Thanh Toan focused on scientific and technological breakthroughs, innovation and digital transformation, considering these as key drivers for growth; Director of the Provincial Department of Agriculture and Environment Nguyen Minh Huan emphasized the management and effective use of resources, environmental protection, and proactive adaptation to climate change.

These comments not only reflect the rich reality of Dak Lak but also demonstrate the strategic vision for the province to integrate and develop on par with the region and the world.

The Congress identified the general goals: Building a clean, strong, and effectively operating Party organization and political system; maximizing the potential, advantages, and cultural identities of ethnic groups and new development spaces; promoting rapid and sustainable growth on the basis of science and technology, innovation, green economy, circular economy, and digital economy; linking economic development with social security, environmental protection, improving people's lives, and ensuring solid national defense and security.
