Promote industry and services
Chairman of Nui Thanh Commune People's Committee Hoang Chau Son said that based on a natural area of over 2,180 hectares, a population of over 8,200 people and available resources and conditions, Nui Thanh will accelerate economic restructuring, striving to reduce the proportion of agriculture - forestry - fishery to 20% by 2030, industry - construction to 48%, trade - services to 32%; average income per capita to exceed 60 million VND/year.
In the coming term, the locality strives to issue 10 to 12 new business licenses each year, supporting the establishment of at least 2 small businesses operating in fields such as mechanics, agricultural processing, freight transport, and general trade.
Total retail sales of goods and social consumer services are expected to reach 350 to 400 billion VND/year.
Existing industrial and handicraft sectors will continue to be maintained, expanded and modernized. Small mechanics, garments, civil construction, repair services... will not only create stable jobs for hundreds of workers but also play a key role in the industrialization process.
The rate of regular employment will remain above 95%, of which at least 20% will work in the industrial and service sectors.
Infrastructure development is an important pillar to accelerate the development process. The commune plans to invest in and renovate 12 main traffic routes, with a total length of more than 20km, connecting residential axes, production areas and commercial and service areas.
Key projects such as Ha Nha - Nam Son, Trung Luong - Dong Ca roads, and Ho Nuoc canal will create momentum for connectivity, promoting rapid and sustainable regional economic development.
In particular, Nui Thanh identifies digital transformation as a breakthrough driving force, especially the digital economy. People and businesses will be supported to access e-commerce, cashless payments, and promote and consume agricultural products through the digital environment.
“From that foundation, Nui Thanh not only plays the role of an area for population and function dispersion of Da Nang city but also a new growth nucleus in the south, contributing to reshaping the development space of the region after the administrative merger at the district level,” said Mr. Hoang Chau Son.
Implement three key programs
In order to create leverage to promote comprehensive development, Nui Thanh commune synchronously implements three key programs in the 2025 - 2030 term. Including: Urban development program; Agricultural infrastructure development and new rural construction program; Industrial, handicraft and trade - service development program.
Accordingly, urban development is in line with the planning until 2030, vision to 2035; completing key economic zones; improving the quality of planning, order, and technical and social infrastructure.
Building the urban core area into an economic - political - cultural center, striving to achieve the criteria of an urban ward by 2030.

The goal is to fill 90% of industrial clusters by 2030, 100% of clusters have wastewater treatment systems.
Support businesses to attract more than 1,000 workers, continue to invest in expanding Nam Chu Lai and Trang Ton Industrial Clusters... ensuring industrial and construction growth according to the set plan.
Building a green living environment
Along with the goal of industrialization and modernization, Nui Thanh commune clearly identifies the direction of building advanced new rural areas as a central and continuous task. On that basis, the commune sets a target that by the end of the term, 100% of households will use hygienic water, of which more than 92% will use clean water; 100% of village and inter-village roads will be concreted; more than 95% of household waste will be collected and treated according to regulations.
In agricultural production, the commune strives to cultivate about 350 hectares of rice each year with an average yield of 56 quintals/ha, and an output of more than 1,100 tons/year. Many effective agricultural models will be replicated such as growing green-skinned grapefruit, lemongrass, and bananas; raising breeding cows; and raising freshwater fish along the Truong Giang River.
By 2030, the commune strives to have at least 5 products meeting OCOP standards of 3 stars or higher.
The commune will deploy 6 model roads; cultural and sports facilities continue to receive synchronous investment, including upgrading 5 community activity houses, 3 mini soccer fields, badminton courts, etc.
The education and training sector continues to be the foundation for local human resource development. The commune maintains a rate of 100% of children attending school at the right age, 100% of students completing junior high school, and the rate of entering grade 10 is over 85%.
During the term, the commune will organize at least 10 vocational training classes, striving to have 50-60 workers each year working in industrial parks or exporting labor, mainly to Japan and Korea.
Medical work and public health care continue to improve. The commune health station meets national standards, examining and treating about 5,000 people each year. The rate of people participating in health insurance reaches over 97%...
“Social security is always a solid foundation, so the locality strives to reduce the poverty rate to below 2%, near-poverty to below 3%; support the construction and repair of 30-40 houses for disadvantaged households in the next term,” said Mr. Hoang Chau Son.
