Transporting 40,000 steel baskets to the Central region to prevent landslides

On November 5, the Vietnam Road Administration said that so far, Road Management Area IV has transported and delivered 40,000 steel baskets from the South to the Central region to prevent landslides after floods.

Accordingly, Road Management Area IV has mobilized more than 60 trucks, each carrying from 1,500 to 1,800 steel baskets, transporting them continuously day and night to support Road Management Area II and Road Management Area III, which are being severely affected by prolonged floods and landslides.

The additional number of steel baskets mobilized will be an essential source of materials for local forces to urgently reinforce slopes, handle landslides, and ensure safety for people and vehicles traveling on key national routes.

It is known that the steel basket receiving points are arranged according to the request of the receiving units including: Road Management Office III.3 at Km1548+800 Ho Chi Minh road; Xuan Trach Road Management Department warehouse at Km0+970, Ho Chi Minh road and warehouse Km830, National Highway 1A.
