Speaking at the opening of the Congress, Comrade Tran Viet Cuong, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company emphasized: The Congress took place at a time of special significance, an opportunity for all cadres and party members to look back on the Company's 127-year development journey and the 5-year term 2020-2025 full of challenges but also achieved many outstanding results. During the past term, despite facing many major fluctuations such as the Covid-19 pandemic, climate change, water pollution, the collective leadership, cadres, party members and employees of the Company promoted the spirit of solidarity, creativity, completed and exceeded the targets set by the Resolution. The Company has affirmed its role as one of the leading units in the water supply industry nationwide, providing safe, continuous and effective water supply services to about 1.7 million people in the city. The company is also a pioneer in applying technology, promoting digital transformation, improving customer service quality and gradually moving towards a smart water supply model.
At the Congress, delegates focused their intelligence, promoted democracy, discussed enthusiastically and contributed many enthusiastic opinions to the documents, notably the approval of the Political Report of the Party Executive Committee of the Company for the 2020-2025 term; clearly defining the direction, goals and tasks for the 2025-2030 term, closely following the Congress theme:
The Congress agreed to identify three strategic breakthroughs for the 2025-2030 term, including: Breakthrough in Party building with a focus on improving the quality of Party committee activities, developing new quality Party members, rejuvenating the team and strengthening inspection and supervision. Breakthrough in digital transformation to comprehensively apply technology to production, management, and operation, towards a smart water supply model. Breakthrough in ensuring safe water supply and improving the quality of customer service, taking people's satisfaction as the center of all activities.
Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Do Gia Khanh, Deputy Secretary of the City People's Committee Party Committee, highly appreciated the results that the Party Committee and the Company have achieved in the past term. He suggested that in the coming term, the Party Committee should continue to innovate leadership thinking, improve organizational and implementation capacity, promote Party building work, further promote the pioneering role of Party members in digital transformation, improve production processes and improve service quality, and emphasized: The Party Committee needs to continue to strengthen its leadership and comprehensive direction in implementing political and professional tasks, closely following the city's development orientation and the Company's strategy to build synchronous and effective programs and solutions to meet development requirements in the digital age; promote the application of science and technology in production and management to improve competitiveness, making practical contributions to the city's socio -economic development and social security programs and projects. Along with that, it is necessary to pay special attention to ideological work and care for the material and spiritual life and working conditions of workers, striving to ensure increasingly high income.
The Party Committee needs to continue to promote the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style; seriously implement the resolutions, directives and regulations of the Central Committee on Party building, promote the responsibility of setting an example, the spirit of "self-reflection, self-correction" among cadres and party members. In the work of organization and activities, it is necessary to strictly implement the principle of democratic centralism, improve the quality of Party cell activities, especially thematic activities associated with difficult, new and practical contents related to professional tasks; build a team of cadres with a professional working style, proficient in professional skills, and aspiration to contribute. After the Congress, the Party Committee needs to urgently develop and promulgate working regulations, assign specific tasks within the Party Committee and the entire term's work program, promptly concretize goals and tasks with clear and feasible products, creating strong and comprehensive changes in the coming term. The Standing Committee of the City People's Committee Party Committee believes that, with the spirit of solidarity, responsibility, creativity and high determination, the Company's Party Committee will lead the successful completion of the set goals, bringing the Company to new heights in the 2025 - 2030 term.
