Government Party Congress: Resolute and breakthrough in action for the country and people

On the afternoon of October 13, the 1st Congress of the Government Party Committee, term 2025-2030, was a great success. After the Congress, the Congress Organizing Committee held a press conference to inform about the Congress results. Politburo member, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Government Party Committee, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister of the Government, Head of the Congress Propaganda Subcommittee chaired the press conference.

Co-chairing were Deputy Secretary of the Government Party Committee, Chief of the Government Party Committee Office, Minister, Head of the Government Office Tran Van Son, Head of the Congress Organizing Subcommittee; Deputy Head of the Central Organization Committee, Member of the Government Party Committee Standing Committee, Head of the Government Party Committee Organization Committee, Party Committee Secretary, Minister of Home Affairs Pham Thi Thanh Tra; Member of the Government Party Committee Standing Committee, Head of the Government Party Committee Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung; Member of the Government Party Committee Executive Committee, Party Committee Secretary, Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Manh Hung.

Also attending the Press Conference were Party Secretaries, Ministers of Ministries, Deputy Secretaries of the Government Party Committee. Informing about the results of the Congress, Minister and Head of the Government Office Tran Van Son said that after two days of urgent and responsible work, the Congress had completed the proposed contents and was successfully held.

The Congress carried out two contents: Summarizing and evaluating the results of the 2020-2025 term, reviewing the leadership and direction of the Government Party Executive Committee for the 2020-2025 term; determining the directions, goals, tasks and solutions for the 2025-2030 term and discussing and contributing opinions to the draft documents to be submitted to the 14th National Congress of the Party.

At the solemn Opening Session, the Congress was honored to welcome Comrade To Lam, General Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam to attend and direct the Congress; leaders and former leaders of the Party, State, and Vietnam Fatherland Front; Heroes of the People's Armed Forces; Heroes of Labor; representatives of leaders of agencies, departments, branches, unions, enterprises, and business associations; reporters, editors, news agencies, newspapers, etc. The total number of delegates and guests attending the Congress was nearly 1,800 people.

At the Congress, General Secretary To Lam delivered an important speech, continuing to affirm the position and role of the Government Party Committee - a large and important Party Committee directly under the Central Committee, the center of direct leadership and direction for the Government, the Prime Minister and affiliated Party organizations in managing the national administration, socio-economic development, ensuring national defense, security and expanding foreign relations and integration.

The General Secretary welcomed, acknowledged, congratulated and commended the important results that the Government Party Committee had achieved in the past term: The Government Party Committee clearly demonstrated its mettle, solidarity, creativity, and efforts to overcome all difficulties, determination in leadership and management, and breakthroughs in actions for the country and the people. Leadership and direction have many innovations, are more drastic, closer to reality, synchronous, have key focuses and bring about more substantial results.

According to the Minister, the Congress approved the Political Report with key contents: Regarding the results achieved in the 2020-2025 term, the Congress determined that Party building work received special attention and clearly defined that this is the foundation of trust, the driving force of innovation, the decisive factor, ensuring the comprehensive leadership, direction and administration of the Government Party Committee with the task of socio-economic development.

There have been many innovations in personnel work; the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation has been strengthened; the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style has become increasingly in-depth, practical and effective. The Government Party Committee has closely followed the Party's guidelines and policies, led, directed and synchronously and effectively implemented 3 strategic breakthroughs, 6 key tasks, and 12 main groups of solutions according to the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress.

At the same time, in 2024-2025, drastically and effectively implement many historic policies of the Party and State such as reorganizing the apparatus of the political system; reviewing and perfecting laws, removing difficulties and obstacles; accelerating the reduction of administrative procedures, decentralization and delegation of power; removing difficulties and obstacles for long-standing projects; accelerating the construction of expressway and urban railway systems; promoting the development of the private economy, science and technology, innovation and digital transformation; basically completing the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses...

Although there were more difficulties and challenges than opportunities and advantages, and there were still some limitations and shortcomings, during the past term, the Government Party Committee basically completed the goals, targets and tasks of socio-economic development in the 2021-2025 period.

Regarding comments on the draft documents of the 1st Government Party Congress, term 2025-2030 and the draft documents to be submitted to the 14th National Party Congress, 51/51 affiliated Party Committees have submitted written reports with over 110,000 comments, of which 109,000 comments were in agreement; over 2,600 comments were added.

The Congress divided into 15 discussion groups with 212 comments on the draft documents. Many comments showed in-depth research and high combativeness, were direct, objective, and analyzed in depth, explaining the fundamental contents to resolve and remove bottlenecks and bottlenecks.

The Congress approved the first review report of the Government Party Executive Committee, term 2025-2030; and the report synthesizing opinions on the draft documents to be submitted to the 14th National Party Congress.

The Congress also passed the Resolution of the 1st Government Party Congress, term 2025-2030 with many synchronous tasks and solutions in both Party building and socio-economic development, including 6 breakthrough tasks and solutions for socio-economic development./.
