The 32nd Congress of Vinh University Youth Union, term 2025 - 2030

On the morning of October 24, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Vinh University held the 32nd Congress of Delegates, term 2025 - 2030.

This is an important political event for the school's youth, marking a new step of maturity in the work of the Union and youth movement, affirming the vanguard role of union members and students in the cause of innovation, integration and development.

Attending were representatives of Vinh University's leadership, Nghe An Provincial Youth Union, representatives of universities and colleges in the province, and nearly 200 delegates representing more than 20,000 youth union members of the whole school.

In the 2020 - 2025 term, the Youth Union and youth movement of Vinh University have achieved many outstanding and comprehensive results in all fields. Revolutionary action movements have been widely deployed, creating a strong influence among union members and students. The "Youth Volunteer" movement has been maintained regularly with more than 15,000 students participating in campaigns, collecting more than 4,000 units of donated blood, organizing hundreds of social security activities, protecting the environment and implementing many meaningful youth projects.

The “Creative Youth” movement has developed strongly, encouraging the spirit of scientific research and entrepreneurship among students. Hundreds of innovative topics and projects have been implemented, many academic clubs, English clubs, and startup clubs have operated effectively, contributing to fostering integration capacity and professional skills for union members and students. The competitions “FlagUp – Searching for ideas and startup projects”, “English Festival” have become annual activities, attracting a large number of union members to participate.

Political, ideological, ethical and lifestyle education work has been innovated in a close and practical direction. Forums, seminars and gratitude activities are organized regularly, helping union members and students to form a strong political stance, patriotism and a sense of responsibility to the community. In the period of 2020 - 2025, the whole school has admitted more than 1,200 new union members, introduced more than 1,000 outstanding union members for the Party to consider admission, of which 948 union members have joined the ranks of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

Entering the 2025 - 2030 term, the Congress determined the motto of action "Building a strong Union; fostering mettle, nurturing great aspirations for union members; promoting the pioneering spirit, creativity, daring to think, daring to do".

In the new term, the School Youth Union continues to focus on innovating the content and methods of political and ideological education for union members; promoting action movements associated with the tasks of studying, scientific research, entrepreneurship and digital transformation; promoting the role of the Youth Union in building school culture, developing skills and spiritual life for students; improving the capacity of Youth Union officials, consolidating strong grassroots organizations, acting as the nucleus of solidarity among students; actively participating in Party building, contributing to the successful implementation of the development strategy of Vinh University to become a key university in the North Central region.

At the Congress, delegates presented many practical speeches, focusing on improving the quality of volunteer movements, promoting digital transformation in Youth Union work, cultivating foreign language skills, promoting creative entrepreneurship, training the courage and role models of Vinh University students in the new era.

Speaking at the Congress, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Cuc - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Vice Rector of Vinh University acknowledged and commended the outstanding results of the Youth Union's work in the past term.

He emphasized that in the context of the University's strong transformation to become an international-class regional university, the Youth Union needs to continue to promote its core role and innovate more strongly in digital transformation, scientific research, startups and international integration.

On behalf of the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Youth Union, comrade Ho Phuc Hai - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Student Association, Vice Chairman of the Youth Union of Nghe An province praised the dynamic and creative spirit of the union members and students of Vinh University, and at the same time requested the youth of the school to continue to be the pioneer force in implementing youth action movements in the whole province, contributing to building the image of Vinh University union members as "bravery, intelligence, humanity, creativity".

The Congress elected 27 comrades to the Executive Committee of Vinh University Youth Union for the 32nd term, 2025 - 2030; elected the Standing Committee, Secretary, Deputy Secretary and Inspection Committee of the Youth Union. Comrade Nguyen Thai Dung - Secretary of the Youth Union for the 31st term was re-elected as Secretary of the Youth Union of Vinh University for the 32nd term, 2025 - 2030.
