According to Ms. Xuan, the recent storm No. 13 caused damage to the people of Dak Lak province, in which many educational facilities were also severely affected.
Therefore, the unit announces that it will not accept congratulatory flowers on the occasion of the 43rd Anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day at the Department of Education and Training and educational institutions under the Department.
Also according to the Director of the Department of Education and Training of Dak Lak province, instead of congratulatory flower baskets, the Department hopes that units will pay attention to and encourage educational institutions affected by storms and floods, by helping with teaching equipment and books for students.
According to the report of the Department of Education and Training of Dak Lak, storm No. 13 affected 226 educational units. Among them, many classrooms had their roofs blown off, damaged, or walls collapsed; 654 sets of desks and chairs and 176 sets of computers were damaged due to flooding and breakage; more than 1,000 trees in schools were broken... The total damage to facilities, infrastructure, and teaching equipment amounted to more than 22 billion VND.
