Hotel Robots Animate in Da Nang
On the first day of the event, visitors and the business community had the opportunity to directly visit and experience the latest equipment and applications in the tourism industry.
In particular, the organizers also brought many robots to the hall to interact with the guests. These robot models were imported from abroad and are widely used in many countries, but this is the first time they have appeared in Da Nang.
Ariyana Danang International Convention Center - the event organizer - also imported a robot worth 15,000 USD to introduce to guests.
Due to some procedures, this robot is currently at the port and cannot return to Da Nang on the opening day of Horecfex.
On the morning of September 23, on the stage, a robot "receptionist" dressed in a conical hat and traditional Vietnamese dress interacted with the host. On stage, this robot performed welcoming gestures quite skillfully. This robot also read out a welcome message, explaining the reason for its presence in Da Nang.
In the space displaying technology products, another serving robot model is as attentive as a diligent employee, serving food and drinks to guests.
Mr. Ho Thanh Tam, director of Tam Tam Hotel Management and Consulting Company (Da Nang), said that this robot was imported from China. The morning of September 23 was the first launch of this robot model.
"This is a hotel service robot. Based on pre-programmed information, the robot can bring food, drinks and utensils to requested locations. There are sensors around the robot so it can navigate its journey and automatically avoid obstacles.
We hope that customers in Vietnam will be interested in putting this useful robot into practice," said Mr. Tam.
In addition, the company also brought in a model of an outdoor service robot. This robot model has the shape of a miniature cart, capable of moving in complex terrain and conditions.
The first technology exhibition of the tourism industry in Da NangAccording to Mr. Ho Ky Minh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, the boom in the tourism industry has encouraged businesses to invest in improving service quality. Recently, more and more establishments have applied advanced technology to their service chains. Da Nang’s first organization of Horecfex Vietnam is an opportunity for units to showcase the latest technologies, promoting new trends in the tourism industry in the near future. Ms. Do Thi Hong Xoan, Vice President of the Vietnam Tourism Association, said that Vietnam is in the top 10 countries with the most developed tourism industry in the world . The country currently has 38,000 accommodation establishments. Therefore, applying technology and digital platforms is a trend.
Ms. Xoan also said that Horecfex Vietnam 2024 is the first and largest event on technology in the tourism industry. The event brings new information on the application of innovative technology in the operation of hotels, restaurants and food service establishments. This not only helps service and tourism businesses develop, but also contributes to creating new experiences for tourists every time they come to Vietnam, promoting sustainable development. |
