Posting a map missing Hoang Sa and Truong Sa, Gemini Fourth concert in Vietnam received strong backlash

This is the second time Gemini - Fourth has returned to Vietnam. Last June, the two artists held a fan meeting in our country, and all tickets were sold out in less than a day.

According to information on the Njoin fanpage - the event organizer and concert ticket sales website, the Gemini Fourth run the world concert in Vietnam (abbreviated as Gemini Fourth in Vietnam) will take place at Hoa Binh Theater, Ho Chi Minh City on October 19.

The show in Vietnam opens the Asian tour of Thai CP (couple) Gemini (aka Norawit Titicharoenrak) and Fourth (Nattawat Jirochtikul) after the success of the school drama series My school president last year.

On September 17, the organizers of Gemini Fourth run the world concert in Vietnam posted information on concert ticket sales along with a map of Vietnam showing the destination on the fanpage.

However, many Vietnamese audiences immediately discovered that the map was missing the Truong Sa and Hoang Sa archipelagos and voiced their objections.

One hour after posting ticket sales information, the organizer had to issue an apology to Vietnamese audiences "for the omission in censoring the post before posting."

The announcement reads: "Immediately after receiving your comments, NJoin immediately deleted the post and reviewed all content that will be posted in the near future.

At the same time, we will rectify all personnel so that similar incidents will not happen in the future."

However, many viewers thought this was an insincere and "perfunctory" apology, so they continued to react.

"You guys apologized because you were attacked, but you didn't say that the information was untrue", "Why didn't you apologize? What was the shortcoming? The apology wasn't sincere enough, it looked down on Vietnamese fans", "The main idea that Hoang Sa and Truong Sa belong to Vietnam is not mentioned", "Cancel the show. If it's held in Vietnam but doesn't respect Vietnam's sovereignty , please close the shop"... are some of the comments.

Because of the strong reaction from Vietnamese fans, the event organizer continued to post another "Apology Letter".

This unit believes that because "the staff is still young, they hastily sent everyone an apology that was not truly sincere."

The announcement said: "Protecting sea and island sovereignty is the responsibility of every Vietnamese citizen and posting an article with a map missing the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos is an unacceptable error."

This unit "admitted its mistake and clearly affirmed its position", which is "the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos belong to Vietnam and are inviolable".

The organizers thanked the audience for reminding them so that "we could recognize the shortcomings and promptly make corrections." The unit "views this as a valuable lesson for itself so that in the future, all content will be reviewed more carefully."

Finally, this unit "once again sends our deepest apologies to all Vietnamese fans in particular and the Vietnamese people in general. With all sincerity, we are very sorry for making everyone feel hurt by this mistake."

After this apology, a part of the audience "calmed down", but there were still many people who considered this "unacceptable behavior, did not accept the apology" and said that after this event they would avoid this unit.

Some people suggested that the organizers should have an additional apology in English with a full map of Vietnam.
