(Dan Tri Newspaper) - On the morning of March 29th, at the Ho Guom pedestrian street ( Hanoi ), more than 1,000 women participated in a parade wearing traditional Vietnamese ao dai dresses and forming a human map of Vietnam.

To commemorate the 1985th anniversary of the Trung Sisters' Uprising, the 115th anniversary of International Women's Day (March 8, 1910 - March 8, 2025), the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union (1930-2025), and other major national holidays in 2025, under the direction of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union, the Vietnam Women's Newspaper organized the event "Ao Dai Parade and Ao Dai Formation of the Map of Vietnam".

This event also responds to the "Ao Dai Week" launched nationwide by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union.

Launched in 2019, "Ao Dai Week" has contributed to inspiring and spreading meaningful and positive messages about love, national pride, the country, its people, and the Vietnamese Ao Dai to a wide audience.

Since then, every March, women across the country enthusiastically celebrate and organize diverse and creative activities to honor the value of the Vietnamese ao dai.

More than 1,000 women attended the Ao Dai parade on the morning of March 29th, including: Leaders and staff of the Vietnam Women's Union; officials and members of the Hanoi Women's Union; invited guests; and staff and students of the Vietnam Women's Academy.

In particular, the formation of a map of Vietnam by 500 female students from the Vietnam Women's Academy, dressed in traditional ao dai with the red flag and yellow star emblem, was a highlight.

Assembling a map of Vietnam can be seen as a form of visual education, helping people become more aware of their territory, sovereignty , and responsibilities.

The activity involving hundreds of young people dressed in traditional ao dai (Vietnamese long dress) printed with the national flag, forming a human map of Vietnam, is not only a symbol of solidarity but also an affirmation of the important role of women in preserving and developing the country.

Each piece on the map represents a person, a region, and when we all work together, we create a strong and resilient Vietnam.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Huong, Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union, said: "The parade of ao dai (traditional Vietnamese dress) and the formation of a map of Vietnam by the students is a special highlight of this year's event."

We believe that by wearing the traditional ao dai, you not only honor the beauty of our national culture but also feel a deeper sense of pride in continuing these fine values."

Throughout its various stages of development, the ao dai dress has enhanced the gentle and elegant beauty of East Asian women.

Although the ao dai (Vietnamese traditional dress) is constantly evolving and being modernized, it still maintains its traditional essence, contributing to enhancing the beauty of Vietnamese women.

Vietnamese women are proud of the Vietnamese ao dai, and the ao dai is continuing its journey to affirm its role and position in society, accompanying Vietnamese women as they confidently step into a new era, an era of national progress.
