In Binh An commune, Mr. Danh Tri Dung (35 years old) - Head of Vinh Hoa Phu Medical Station is a typical example. Born and raised in the locality, Mr. Dung always dreamed of serving his homeland. In 2016, he was admitted to the Party. For Mr. Dung, every assigned task is an opportunity to practice and contribute. Mr. Dung said: "At the grassroots level, there is a lack of doctors and equipment. Young doctors who have just graduated are reluctant to return to the commune because of limited benefits. In recent years, Vinh Hoa Phu Medical Station, which Mr. Dung is in charge of, has always fulfilled its tasks well, and the Party cell has been clean and strong for many consecutive years.

The image of Mr. Dung and his colleagues "visiting homes" is still vivid in people's memories, from cases of tuberculosis, mental illness, to outbreaks of dengue fever, COVID-19... "Wherever there was a case, my colleagues and I in the commune's epidemic prevention and control steering committee went to the scene to investigate, mobilize, and instruct people to kill mosquito larvae and clean the environment. At the beginning of 2021, there was no COVID-19 vaccine, and there were no specific regulations like now, but when we heard that someone had returned from another place, we went to their house to propagate and take samples for testing. We were worried, but the biggest fear was that people would get sick," Mr. Dung recalled.

His biggest wish is that the grassroots health sector will be invested in ultrasound, electrocardiogram, and testing machines, etc. so that people can treat chronic diseases at the commune level, without having to go to higher levels. That is also a way to retain and attract medical personnel to serve the grassroots.

Mr. Danh Huynh - expert of the Economic - Budget Committee of Chau Thanh Commune People's Council left an impression with the image of a young cadre ready to "roll up his sleeves" for the community.

Mr. Huynh confided: “As a party member, wherever the organization assigns work, I serve the people. Before, I was the commune union secretary, participating in shoveling sand, mixing mortar, building bridges and roads with the Youth Union. That was the most memorable time. Now working at the Economic - Budget Department, I tell myself to be even more dedicated and transparent, contributing to bringing budget money to the right place, serving the right people.”
