According to the forecast of the Vietnam Logistics Research and Development Institute, by 2030, our country's logistics industry will need to add 2.2 million workers, including about 200,000 high-quality workers with professional degrees, technical skills and foreign language proficiency. However, the industry's current capacity to meet only about 10% of market demand. This means that job opportunities in this field are extremely open.

"Logistics is not just about transporting goods, but also the art of optimizing all resources. With a lean philosophy, optimal thinking and innovative spirit, students majoring in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (QLCCƯ) can open the door to attractive job opportunities in the era of e-commerce boom", shared Dr. Vo Thi Minh Nhut, Deputy Head of the Department of Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Faculty of Business, Ho Chi Minh City University of Management and Technology (UMT) .

With that need, Logistics "giants" are looking for young people who understand Logistics and Supply Chain Management to become: (1) Supply Chain Optimization Experts; (2) Logistics Data Analysts; (3) Smart Warehouse Management through Technology; (4) Process Improvement Consultants for Businesses; opening up job opportunities with cross-border projects, working at seaports, international airports...

Dr. Nhut commented: "Logistics is an interdisciplinary field, requiring both management (business administration), technical optimization (technology) and communication skills. For example, people who are good at communication can negotiate with partners, take care of customers, and handle complaints; people with an organizational mindset will be in charge of arranging warehouses and planning deliveries; technology experts can master software and equipment to track goods; people who are good at foreign languages work with international partners and process import and export documents."

The school has 3 advantages: First, the school closely follows the advanced training programs in Vietnam and the world. Student Tran Dai Phuc, majoring in International Business, Logistics and Supply Chain Management at UMT, said: "Internships at many businesses and the school's location next to the international port have allowed me to broaden my vision of career opportunities, and have the mindset and skills to apply Logistics and Supply Chain Management to other industries, from banking, hospitals to high-end freight transport".

"The training program helps students majoring in Logistics at UMT get acquainted with technical issues as well as thinking, such as optimizing algorithms to find the shortest shipping route, saving fuel and time for businesses.
