Visitors to the port city increased by 24% over the same period.
According to the Hai Phong Department of Tourism , during the 4-day National Day holiday on September 2, the city's tourist and entertainment spots welcomed nearly 600,000 visitors. The number of tourists from other localities coming to Hai Phong reached more than 310,000, an increase of 24% over the same period in 2023.
The growth came from both international and domestic visitors. Domestic visitors were mainly from Hanoi , the provinces in the Red River Delta, the midlands and the northern mountainous region. At the same time, for the first time, the port city recorded a large number of visitors from the southern provinces and cities.
Nearly 600,000 tourists flocked to Hai Phong for entertainment during the 4-day holiday.
The above results come from Hai Phong’s efforts in building transport infrastructure and enhancing the experience for tourists. Accordingly, the Port City has been mobilizing resources to invest in highways, opening direct flights to Cat Bi airport, and building new bridges connecting the city center with tourist destinations.
