Strengthening propaganda among people about the meaning of the National Target Program on New Rural Construction

STO - On the morning of August 22, the supervision delegation of the Provincial People's Council led by Comrade Nguyen Van Khoi - Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the People's Council of Soc Trang province, went to Thanh Tri district to supervise the implementation of the National Target Program on New Rural Construction for the period 2021 - 2025.

According to the People's Committee of Thanh Tri district, the implementation of the components of the National Target Program on New Rural Construction for the period 2021 - 2025 of the locality has achieved some outstanding results such as: completing the construction of the centralized water supply station in Tan Loc hamlet, Lam Tan commune with a construction area of 93.1m ² , capacity of 500m ³ / day and night and expanding the centralized water supply pipeline in Chau Hung commune with a length of 13,965m, with a total implementation cost of 6.6 billion VND from the central budget and counterpart provincial budget capital. By April 2023, the district had Chau Hung commune recognized as meeting the standards, bringing the total number of 7/8 communes meeting new rural standards. Implement the integrated allocation of capital sources from national target programs, projects, and local budgets with a total capital of over 405.7 billion VND for the period 2021 - 2023. The work of inspecting, supervising, and inspecting the implementation of the program from the planning, investment, management, use, capital settlement, construction quality to people's consensus... is of interest to the district and directed by the functional branches to be maintained regularly.

Carrying out the task of building new rural areas in the period of 2021 - 2025, Thanh Tri district strives to have 8/8 communes meeting new rural standards by the end of the term (of which, the goal for 2023 is to bring Thanh Tan commune to meet new rural standards), 3 communes to meet advanced new rural standards (Vinh Loi, Lam Tan, Thanh Tri) and the district to meet new rural standards according to the targets set by the District Party Committee's resolution.

Through the actual inspection of the implementation of traffic works and visits to effective economic models in the locality, the monitoring delegation acknowledged the efforts of Thanh Tri district in implementing the program. Comrade Nguyen Van Khoi suggested that Thanh Tri focus on promoting propaganda and mobilizing people to join hands with the local government to effectively implement the new rural construction program, identifying this as a large, meaningful, and consistent program. The locality needs to continue to maintain and promote its strengths and achievements, while striving to effectively implement the program's criteria and complete the local new rural construction goal.
