At the meeting, the Institute for Monuments Conservation confirmed the historical, cultural and architectural values of the Dien Khanh Citadel national relic, as well as the current status of protection and promotion of the relic's value. The preparation of a dossier to propose the ranking of Dien Khanh Citadel as a special national relic is necessary. However, it is necessary to pay attention to the implementation process; completion time and submission of the dossier because currently the Dien Khanh Citadel relic is implementing a restoration and embellishment project, making it difficult to collect complete images of the relic. In addition, there are a number of construction items mentioned, but the specific locations have not been determined by archaeology, such as: Ky Dai; Tuan Vu Palace, An Sat Palace; military leader's house; food warehouse; prison...
The leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism agreed with the opinions of the representative of the Institute for Monuments Conservation and requested that specialized departments and affiliated public service units accept and implement them in accordance with regulations.

It is known that on May 20, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism sent an official dispatch to the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province agreeing on the proposal to compile a dossier on the Dien Khanh Citadel relic site to submit to the Prime Minister for consideration and ranking as a special national relic. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism also reminded the province about the name of the relic, suggesting that it be studied to use the name Dien Khanh Citadel in accordance with current regulations.
Dien Khanh Citadel was built in 1793, covering an area of 3.5 hectares, with a length of over 2,600 meters and a wall height of over 3.5 meters. In 1988, the citadel was ranked as a national historical and cultural relic.
