Proposal to transfer volume from Dong Nai River Road Project to Hoa An Bridge Underpass Project

(DN) - On September 19, according to the Project Management Board of Area 1, the unit proposed and received approval from the Department of Construction to submit to the Provincial People's Committee on transferring the construction volume of about 200m of the road section from the Dong Nai River Road Project to the Hoa An Bridge Underpass Project.

Accordingly, the adjusted volume section is located at the beginning of the Dong Nai River Road Project and this is the overlapping section between the two projects. According to the Project Management Board of Area 1, the proposed transfer is to avoid waste when the Hoa An Bridge Underpass Project is implemented. Because according to calculations, if this section is built at the present time, when the Hoa An Bridge Underpass Project is implemented, to ensure the elevation of the project, this section will have to be renovated.

Regarding the Hoa An Bridge Tunnel Project, the authorities are also implementing investment procedures for this project. Accordingly, it is expected that the project will be approved in September 2025. Then, in the fourth quarter of 2025, the design bidding and post-bidding design will be implemented.

The Dong Nai River Road Project is one of the province's key projects, with a route length of about 5.2km. The project has a total investment of nearly 2 trillion VND and is expected to be completed in 2025.

According to the plan, after completion of construction, the Dong Nai riverside road will connect with Nguyen Van Tri street, forming a road along the East bank of the Dong Nai river. In addition to the value of creating landscape along the Dong Nai river, the road will also contribute to sharing the traffic volume on Huynh Van Nghe street. However, the connection of these two roads is actually hindered by the design of Hoa An bridge.

Specifically, due to the lack of direct connection, vehicles traveling from Nguyen Van Tri Street to the Dong Nai Riverbank and vice versa will be forced to go around under Hoa An Bridge. This will cause difficulties when traveling between the two routes. Therefore, the Hoa An Bridge Tunnel Project is proposed to connect the two routes, creating a complete connection for the entire route and traffic. The Hoa An Bridge Tunnel Project is expected to have a total construction investment of about 300 billion VND.
