Proposal to organize a record-setting hot air balloon festival in Da Lat

On October 20, a representative of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong Province to work with Kingsky Media and Events Joint Stock Company (Kingsky Company) on matters related to the organization of the Hot Air Balloon Festival, Paragliding, and Carnival at the 2024 Da Lat Flower Festival.

Previously, Kingsky Company proposed to organize a hot air balloon festival, paragliding, and carnival in November at Lam Vien Square, Da Lat city, Lam Dong province.

This festival is on a national scale, setting a record for Vietnam and Southeast Asia with 25-30 giant hot air balloons. The total estimated cost of the program is about 8.5 billion VND.

Planned activities in the festival include: Paragliding performance; hot air balloon flights with ticket sales for tourists; parades, carnival costume performances.

Previously, as Dan Tri reported, the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival in 2024 with the theme "Da Lat Flowers - Symphony of Colors" was held in December.

The festival is organized with 10 main programs, such as: Opening ceremony; art program welcoming the new year 2025 combined with the closing ceremony of the festival; flower space around Xuan Huong Lake and the streets, central park; Bao Loc art program with tea scent, silk color; wine, tea, coffee, Da Lat specialties street; Da Lat - Chuncheon (Korea) cultural and artistic exchange; street carnival...

This year's Da Lat Flower Festival also has 12 response programs organized in the months of the year. Typical of which are: Langbiang Pink Grass Festival (Lac Duong district, Lam Dong); Korean - Da Lat Music Festival 2024; Basalt Melody Band Festival; Lam Dong Trail 2024...
