Ho Chi Minh City National University has just awarded certificates of merit to 6 students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities for their   The act of giving up seats to veterans during the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification on April 30.

These 6 students are all first-year students at the Faculty of Sociology, including Nguyen Bao Nhat Anh, Duong Hoang Dung, Le Thi Phuong Hoa, Tran Thu Huyen, Nguyen Ha My and Nguyen Ngoc Tuyen.

Speaking at the ceremony to award certificates to students, Dr. Phan Thanh Dinh, Vice President of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, assessed the act of giving up seats to veterans during the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification as a small but meaningful gesture. This gesture has spread the spirit of gratitude of the younger generation to those who have contributed to the country.

"With theeducational philosophy of 'Comprehensive - Liberal - Multicultural', the University of Social Sciences and Humanities not only trains a dynamic, knowledgeable young generation, but also a young generation that knows how to share, sympathize and support everyone. The 6 students of the Faculty of Sociology are typical examples of that young generation" - Dr. Phan Thanh Dinh emphasized.

Dr. Phan Thanh Dinh emphasized that the awarding of certificates of merit by the Director of Ho Chi Minh City National University to students is a meaningful reward, encouraging students of the school and Ho Chi Minh City National University to continue spreading humane and compassionate actions to the community and society.

Representing the group of students being honored, student Duong Hoang Dung said that the group’s action was just a small one and she believes that everyone will do the same for the veterans. This student hopes that together with young people, we can spread the spirit of sharing and being responsible to the community, contributing to building a civilized and humane society.
