On November 17th, the Command of Defense Zone 3 - Tra My ( Da Nang City) announced that continuous heavy rain over a long period had caused numerous cracks to appear on the hills and mountains under its management, with the Ngang mountain area posing a very high risk of landslides.

Accordingly, through field inspection, authorities discovered 5 to 7 cracks on Ngang Mountain, each 70-100m long, with some points up to 2m wide. The risk of landslides directly threatens the residential area at the foot of the mountain.
Given the urgent situation, the Regional Defense Command 3, in coordination with the authorities of Son Cam Ha, Thanh Binh, and Phuoc Tra communes, organized the relocation of 59 households with 224 people to safe areas. Simultaneously, drones were deployed to scan and survey surrounding areas to promptly detect any unusual developments caused by the heavy rains and floods.

Also on the afternoon of November 17th, a serious landslide occurred at Km 59+300 on National Highway 14E, in the section passing through Tra Huynh village (Phuoc Tra commune), causing traffic disruption. Authorities are focusing on cordoning off the area, carrying out repairs, and ensuring the safety of people and vehicles.
To date, no casualties or property damage have been reported. Relevant authorities remain on standby and are monitoring the situation to proactively address any potential adverse events.
